Well, I don't think its officially stated anywhere. However lets say you get the same EXP in a group as solo per kill. With each added player the enemies gain 75% more health. So in a group you could in theory kill faster and gain more EXP.
You'll get the same amount of xp regardless of how many people are in your party.
In beta regardless of whether I was by myself or with my brother, we would always hit level 2 in the same exact spot by killing the same exact monster.
Speed is a slightly different question. with four players the monsters have 375% the health so in theory they should go down more quickly, therefore faster progression. However four minds are not as coordinated as one mind leaving me to think that it's pretty dependent on the group's skill both singularly and as a whole.
XP wise, loot is also shares the same conundrum. If you are trading somewhat openly with your group members, there is a chance that someone else might get something that you *could* use. Loot could then be interpreted as superior if sharing is going on. if everyone is exclusively selfish, then no better than playing solo.
It is multiplied because everyone in the gruop gets theyre own loot, so if you have ONE blacksmither to dump all mats to, he shuold level up auwfully fast.
Or you can just trade items of your main stat.
Long story short, am I going to get more exp in public games with 4 players or can I single player it up and progress just as fast?
I also have the same questions as above but insert loot for exp.
Thanks,
