1. Money doesn't grow on trees
2. Learning about security measures has far more impact on security than that additional layer of protection. The weakest link on the chain lies between monitor and chair.
I would like to say that I got an authenticator when I heard about people getting hacked. Then, a few days later. I got hacked anyway. I don't give my account information to anyone. I don't click on phising scans. I have an anti-virus installed and scan regularly every single week. I've changed my battlnet password. Despite all of this, I still got hacked and lost everything and Blizzard is still not getting back to me.
BackForJustice, do not listen to a majority of these douchebags replying to you. They're just sitting on their highhorse because they think they're hot shit just because they didn't get hacked. The real blame of your problem is the hacker himself. It is the hacker who did this to you and it is his fault. However, I will say that it is Blizzard's job to mitigate the threat of hacking. I have played several MMO's, I have three emails, a twitter, and a facebook, and many other accounts. The only accounts of mine that have gotten hacked are ones associated with Blizzard. So you have every right to be upset. I will say this now so you know: you will get hacked regardless of whether you have an authenticator or not.
Once again, I empathize with your situation because I got hacked even WITH an authenticator on my account. And for everyone who doesn't know Blizzard's policy on what they do when you get hacked, here it is: Blizzard does one of two things. 1) They rollback your character to a save point. This causes you to receive only 80% of your inventory and gold back. 2) They give you nothing at all. If you want proof about option 2, let me show you an actual customer service ticket that one of my friends received:
Hey there!
Thanks for reaching out to us about your Diablo III account, I hope you’ve been enjoying the game. I’m really sorry to hear about the losses you’ve reported and I appreciate the patience you’ve shown us while this was investigated for you. Compromise Restorations for Diablo III accounts are based on automatically saved restoration points. Restorations are provided by rolling the account back to one of these good restoration points. Any progress earned after a during or after compromise is lost when these rollbacks are performed.
However, after a thorough review of your account, we determined that a restoration point does not exist. As a result, the restoration you are requesting could not be provided and I am really very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause for you. Fortunately, part of the fun of Diablo is smashing demons to bits to find awesome items and acquire gold - so while this is definitely a setback, hopefully recovering from it will prove just as fun as before.
According to their policy, you are only allowed a rollback twice in your entire lifetime. With the high amount of hacking going on in their game, this policy is absolutely inane. In essence, what I'm really saying is that you can get hacked at any time regardless of whether you have an authenticator or not or even if you follow their security FAQ. When you do hacked, you need to wait 2-3 days before you actually get a response (whenever I got hacked in WoW, my issues were resolved in under two hours). Then, there's a chance that you will either not get your stuff back at all or you'll only get 80% of your stuff back. And lastly, you can only get your stuff back twice in your entire lifetime.
I still fail to understand how you can get hacked with an Authenticator :/
A friend of mine plays the Monk. He's pretty happy with it too. Dont you have a rune for one of the mantras that generates massive ammounts of spirit whenever you hit something? He just seems to neber run out of spirit. Maybe its about resource management, i dont know. Anyway sorry cant really help you here
I'm not happy with Monk at all. I think they deserve more love then any other class in the game at the moment. I think Barb's need a bit of a buff defensively talking but Monks are horrible in this current game state. They barely do damage with they're spenders that cost way too much and have absolutely no mobility whatsoever to cover the "lack" of defensiveness.
I'm only on NM as level 42 and I'm already getting annoyed that my dashing strike gets me stuck on anything from a pebble to a minion that happened to wander in front of me. There should be something that stops the cooldown and spirit from getting used up if the environment is in your way, at the very least.
DS has no cooldown ;s
Or you mean SSS?
No, I'm just a noob I'll change that statement to just spirit, ahem.
EDIT: I definitely get stuck on mobs who are between me and the mob I'm dashing for. Most of the time I'm using DS to get to the other end of a pack to start hitting the mob I want to take down first. I'd say this works about 50-60% of the time, the others I get stuck on something.
Yup thats my problem.
We have no "Teleporter" spell, nor a "Charge" spell. I don't see TR as a charger.

After playing Monk Barb and DH (Inferno) for a while I have to admit Monk feels like its the unfinished class. Every time I play Barb I can see the "role" (even though not fulfilling it atm with how weak they are) he has, same for DH, but Monk just feels like he's lacking a punchline, or a point. I get the Martial Arts thingie, which is nice, Yet the potential of this class is so much greater then what we have in the game.
Our spenders are.. well, while some being fun, it feels like (all of them, in my opinion) cost too much resources whilst not really delivering. Everything just feels WEAK. Even SSS which is supposed to be one of our strongest attacks just feels very weak compared to even using Bash as a Barb. I'm playing a paperweight which should feel like a gosu zen master ninja that can rip your eyes out with his calm mind.
The only fun and strong spender I can think of is Exploding Palm. Which is really fun, but COSTS TOO MUCH in order to maintain. Rend is a 360% AoE bleed which does the SAME AMOUNT OF DAMAGE, costs HALF and can be easily maintained while using other spenders.
I made a thread called "Zero mobility as Monk?", feel free to read through it, basically it means that we're supposed to be agile, but we have no spells that allow us to move around like ninjas. (before you start arguing please read the post).
One more thing.
If were supposed to be martial art specialists, why don't we have a "full spirit" passive? the only thing remotely close to this is Combination Strike, but its too weak in order to really justify taking it over another passive (+18% damage? give me a break). Berserker Rage gives a +25% damage bonus. Now thats a passive I can work with.
Maybe I'm missing something.
Please let me know what you think.
Binkles, son of Berhearth, came from a dynasty of Witch Doctors that inhabited Caldeum, which were rich and well known for crafting and experimenting with Runestones. Living in the biggest trade city in the world certainly helped the family business prosper and expand, while having the vision of being the sole family which holds the knowledge of crafting Runestones.
Aratu, being the youngest son of another family of Witch Doctors, the Coldbane family, foresaw the volcano eruption and decided to start selling Runestones as well after seeing the amount of business that came flowing to the Weavers' family shop due to people being afraid and wanting to strengthen and hone their skills to prepare for the invasion. So he went out on a quest to find Runestones outside of Caldeum. Binkles knew his family can lose the monopoly and power that came along with being the only Runestone dealers, decided to dispose of the Coldbane family, sending Aratu a clear message to stay away from everything Runestone related.
Binkles' latest discovery was the Obsidian rune. After experimenting and practicing with it, he made his Firebats carry a plague that strengthens over time. Using this on the Coldbane's family would make it seem like a natural death, unrelated to the Weaver's family.
Tyrael, spotted the event. Being the Archangel of Justice, he decided to intervene. He consulted Itherael, the Archangel of Fate, about what course should be taken. Considering the possibilities Itherael has decided that Tyreal must engage Aratu, the sole survivor of the Coldbane's family and grant him the possibility to avenge his family using the same means of which Binkles used to slaughter his family: The Obsidian Runestone. But before that, he must plant a shard of a Soulstone into Binkles, making him immortal, so he could witness the horror of his family perishing, and forever be haunted by his family's spirits after the deed is done. And so did Tyrael.
At moonrise, Aratu came to Binkles' family house and called forth a Plague of Toads while equipping an Obsidian rune. to his surprise, it was no plague at all. A large toad was risen and ravaged the Weavers' family house, devouring everyone inside, including Binkles.
Being swallowed while imbuted with a fragment of a Soulstone, the toad was able to live forever due to being constantly fed by Binkles's immortal body. Binkles was forever trapped inside. Being consumed made the toad shrink until only Binkles' soul remained inside, making it look like an ordinary toad. The embarrassment and shame has driven him to go to a far away place, New Tristram, where he was not known, to live eternally without anyone knowing who he is, or what his greed has led him to forever be.
