Why would even Blizzard think about creating such a good game as Diablo to Xbox 360, you have an aswome game , and you fuck it up with makeing the game to consoll.
I want the game to be like the oldes one, but not for consol....
So please Blizzard dont make the game for Consol
and btw i makeing this topic to get Diablo 3 beta key. so dont blame me , but also dont want Blizzard to make this game ever to consol.
I'm a PC gamer at heart, and so I will always be. But there is nothing wrong with Blizzard making a diablo for consoles. At this time it's not even officially announced, and the team they want to make it is helping make D3 for PC first.
It makes total sense for a company to branch to as many platforms as are viable. Making a diablo for consoles will in no way hurt you or anyone else. As far as we know you won't even be able to play with people on consoles, as the controls are slighty different (like where to throw your firebomb lol).
Also D2 was on the playstation (was D1? I can't remember). Diablo has a very simple style that fits almost perfect with controllers (except for ranged skills, not sure how they will handle those), and there's no reason for them not too.
the idea is good but its going to fail just like diablo for the playstation. The controls were bad and spell casting was horrid. the diablo series is a pc game and should remain that way. I know blizz is just trying to widen there player base and have a bigger market but its just not the same as playing it on the computer but i know there is people out there that are going to buy a copy for their computer and one for their console and i think blizz is banking on this for the cash grab

An entire post bashing the idea of going to the 360 but not one point is ever made to back up your ascertions that Diablo 3 would suck on the 360.
Now, before you accuse me of being a console fan boy, realize I would never buy Diablo 3 on any console. That being said, I wouldn't have any issues with a console version of Diablo and it would hardly "make the game suck". The consoles are ideally suited for this type of game and with the proper changes to character control, would play great. Clearly, there is no technological hurdle they need to beat either as those systems are both capable of pushing the graphics Diablo has.
Anything that brings more people the game, is worth it.

Idk if they want to put it out on xbox live. Atm it costs $40k to put out a patch/update on xbox live. I'm sure diablo 3 is gonna get a lot of patches for balance or bug fixes when it's out. And their game is closely built around battle.net which im not sure how they would even incorporate that into live lol...
Personally I like the fact that blizzard is making Diablo 3 on consoles. We all know this will lead to tons of money, which in turn means blizzard will have money to spend on even more awesome games in the future!
Nothing is better then coop in the same room and lan houses are bit non pratical. 4 people in the same room playing D3 = epic afternoon.
I'd be interested to see how multiplayer would work on the consoles, whether it'd be 4 people on one screen, 2 on one screen and 2 on another, or just restricted to one per screen. I personally wouldn't buy it because I believe PC's are the kings of gaming (I mean without PC's you wouldn't have consoles at all) and that the Diablo experience is best found on a PC. I trust blizzard to make Diablo 3 on consoles amazing, just not as good as the PC version ofcourse

StarCraft for Nintendo 64 was a disaster in my eyes, although the exculsive extra Jim Raynor mission was epic. RTS games require quick thinking and quick actions - something very hard to do with the controller - mind you, it was only against computers. I can't see how something like this will be made for console again.
However, a game like D3 on console could definatly be a hit, once the Skyrim hype dies down. It would be interesting if the Live servers were connected to PC servers aswell, however I think consoles would be at a disadvantage. This will be the future though - interactive online communities for games.
They'd do it for the same reason they do anything else. Money. Blizzard just happens to make a lot of money because they make great games.
Supposedly the console versions of the game will not effect the pc version, people will always have their beliefs though. I honestly don't care if it's released to console and I'd rather go on believing it doesn't effect the PC version as stated.

This thread is weird and confusing, you bring no reasoning to not wanting to have it on the consoles, the PC version development has nothing to do with the console version.
And for your information, Diablo came out on a console as well
I guess the part that sucks about having Playstation/360 version of D3 is that in some way you are seperating the player base? Unless of course blizzard is saying they have cross-platform support. Personally I don't like the idea of seperating the player base and by making console versions of D3 is doing just that.
Not sure if Blizzard is trying to seperate community or earn more money

people need to calm the fuck down and deal with it.
If Blizzard doe port it for other platforms, I wish my fellow gamers fun playing the game.
If they don't, I hope they do.
