I'm not sure if this has been touched, but if so, please point me to the thread.
What I would love to see come back is /f m
Since there will be 4 player games (seems like it's final), with /f m, it would be easier to make friends and it will be more entertaining. I loved that aspect of d2 because it creates more of a community, and there is never a dull silent moment if you have a full friends' list.
Anyone know anything about the whisper/communication system between players?
What would you guys like to see concerning this topic?
The messaging system is something that Battle.net 2.0 will working on. Starcraft will get the first info on Bnet2.0.
I imagine it will be a lot better than the old one though. I can't say I liked /f m because I never knew who was talking to who.
I'd rather have private messages and then the option for maybe a group chat.
I liked /f m but I think group talk would be awesome.

www.myspace.com/mpotatoes for all your Trans Siberian Orchestra listening pleasure
If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
What I enjoyed about the /f m system the most is that I gain some kind of a familiarity of my friends' friends, which kind of made them my friends and vice versa.
I would hate for this game not have such a "social network". I only play this game on b.net and I need to know that there are other people partaking in the adventure, and when something awesome dropped and they wanna rub it in
I also agree with the above, a /party would be cool, but not necessary if they bump it down to 4 (by the way, thanks to Morbidio for the link) and also a /clan..note- NOT /guild
The new friends list needs a proper graphical interface like MSN or the Steam friends list, not some text based crap. /f m's and /f l's, they served their purpose but I hope they die with the old b.net
On the subject of communication - a proper clan\guild system needs to be created in battle.net 2.0 aswell. So you dont have to wedge these big fat acronyms in your name. Then your'e screwed if you quit
