Should stick to D2 gameplay as much as possible with the brilliant setting and music from the original Diablo. A bigger stash would be nice as well.
Oh, and more quests... randomized quests and events, not just randomized locations.
I would like to see some quest based skills. Insted of Talents points or things of that nature to make a character unique, I would like to see a series of quest based skills that you can learn for epic abilities.
I would hope that they made Diablo 3 similar to a story line of Sin War were Uldyssian is discovering his abilities and powers coming from an unknown source. With that you can later chose down that path between Good and Evil.
From creation make it where there are no classes, follow an epic quest that introduces you and discover small abilities about yourself that sets you apart from the average joe. At that point choose a class style of what it is you will do.

"Pking in Softcore, is like two deaf kids yelling at each other."
i really havent thought about it much, but i would prefer classes with certain abilities and not complete freedom. Titan Quest did it like that and (speaking about my own taste) it failed. Would rather have talent lines, certain spell trees and stuff like that.
- I expect a better (smarter) stash
- I expect better (smarter) transfer of items between characters (and definatly a seperate BIG stash in the form of an unplayable character or something simmilar)
I would really like to see Blizzard make an account stash. A stash that is the same for the account. There for no xfering of items. Just stash and other character can gain access.

The creators of Guild Wars have done this and i believe its crap, u can hardly store stuff in ur stash.
However, if they made a tabbed stash where u have a seperate Character one and an Account sharing one, would make it much better to use.
I completely agree with you Soul GW did make this idea possible but they just didn't give you enough space for items...even though it was very handy...

Dream as if you'll live forever, and live as if you'll die today. "James Dean"
Well, think of it this way. It is better then nothing.
No worries GW 2 will be a lot better.
All I hope for in D3 is the stash ideas, a 3D D3, and more characters (leave it at no customization), and of course a bit more spells. And also a lot more quests and acts and stuff.

well for 1 thing I think quests should be more rewarding such as getting items... maybe a random certain lvl item so you can even get really great items or maybe even runes (if their in D3)

im sure there will be runes and to go along runewords and u have a point u do all the quests for what an imbue... o and to all the people who say tyrael (and archangel) cant go evil u remember in the original diablo LAZARUS THE ARCHANGEL who ws once good became a trator and called diablo his master i just saw it cuz i was playing around just thought u know lol
o srry i got confused when i was playing the game tired and all that sorry, but i dont see why tyrael couldnt turn...he could be corrupt if the power was beseiging to the soul enough
What you guys think of the "rare, unique" quest idea? (maybe even a set-quest, where you only have chance getting a certain quest after you've done a prereq quest for it, and so on)
Its a tottaly new idea but they done it with items, why not quests?
It could really make every time you play the game from the start unique, not only in enviroment/items but also in quests.
(think its possible, not easy though)
This is a pretty interesting idea.
Your right, it would really make the game feel unique from the start.
Diablo II has the same series of quests you do over and over. And it does get dull after awhile. And you usually have someone rush you through it. Diablo does a good job of "randomley" generating its maps and and environments.
Although I'd say it would be rather difficult to pull this off. It is a good idea to truley make the gameplay unique and different everytime. But that is a idea thats very far from reality.
I'd say that Quests become a hassle more than fun in games.
I'm not sure what you mean about "set" quests.

I really like that idea that you get to choose your path later in the game and you just don't pick it right off the character creation screen like in WoW. I hope they implement that.
The biggest concern I have is loot. WoW loot system sucken fucks. I don't want to have to go in a raid with 40 fookers I can't stand listening to, to get an item. Make the items just as rare like in Diablo. Fook the 40 man raids!
