The name speaks for itself. I know, I know, there are now many passive skills. But, I just wanted to say that giving us buffs, that you must activate for them to last 40 seconds is very annoying and slows the pace.
I understand that it is very likely for Blizz to eliminate this mechanic. In d2, we used to take about 2 minutes each fight for everyone to buff eachother. If you have 3 barbs and a pali, oy vey..
Each barbarian has like 5 buffs (that are standard for everyone to use), you do the math.
I hope they make these skills passives (unless they haven't already).

PSSSH?! DRUID?!
Druids cast 2 blanket buffs on everyone.
Paladins had 5 different buffs to manage and you havent heard a GM froth with rage until you cast salvation on a tank...
lawl.
(plus your thorns lasted 3 times longer than all my buffs for WAY TO LONG[or was it 10 mins long? cant remember])

Though, Mark of the Wild is 30 minutes, and Gift of the Wild is an hour. >.>
Either way, Paladins can go with the Greater buffs and buff everyone of a single class in one casting. Granted, Gift of the Wild also does too... (But thorns doesnt!)

o.O
ye but ranged and healerrs dont need thorns pretty much only tanks benefits from it.
Anyways in D3 no you won't be buffing for 10 mins. You go on and fight and buff while in combat or something. It won't be something that "damn we can't beat those demons without all buffs". You go ahead and start beating your enemies and give buffs while doing it.. of course you can do it before that too and it still won't take a long time.
Remember there is max 8 players in party (probably even less in D3 final game.. 8 is my max estimation since d2 had 8 but they have been talking about 4-5 in D3) it doesn't require any really heavy coordination.

You never did much arena PVP eh?
Thorns is a great buff capper so you get a little more time from losing your buffs (i.e. shamans purge, warlocks demon consuming your buffs.)
Yea thanks for keeping us on topic.
I personally would rather save my combat time for actual fighting (not to mention saving the mana) and would buff outa combat (if its a boss). I would buff in regular combat if things get dicey (for whatever reason)and we need a lil' boost.

I say instead of making single target buffs, make em all like Barb shouts, something you can use WITHIN battle easily once to make sure everyone has the buff. I don't think we are going to have to worry much about who gets what buffs since there will be no need for "tanks" and "healers", so you could just give everyone a buff and if it doesn't do them jack crap, then whatever, at least everyone else got it XD.

There are no stupid questions, just a bunch of inquisitive idiots.

There will be tanks, your wrong about that. Check out Barbarians Juggernaut tree (not to mention the Death Proof passive[its like a ressurection ankh]).
Maybe it isn't like the Prot tree from WOW, but im grateful for that.
Not worried about singlebuffing 4 other people as that is easymode, just hope they make buffs last a long time.

The thing is, is that no matter what, making a physical, close range character with strong defense and offense, he will be considered a tank.
Blizzard says it won't be like that, because it SHOULD be possible for each character, in some form to hold his own..
Some characters have heal powers, some have buffs etc. But he isn't a tank, because to get through a level a barb wouldn't be completely necessary. Just easier..
Also this game isn't about strong monsters that kills you in one shot. It was stated that they will change this, it makes the damage dealing too fast, and regeneration is just too slow (resulting in potion spamming).
Jay said that they will have hard monsters deal moderate damage, but they plan on killing you in a slower way. You won't have access to Tp's so easily. You can't run. Your only way to heal yourself IS APPARENTLY a scarce supply of small potions, and the random health orbs.
They said they will have monsters that will drain you (like in the gameplay movie, the traps, with the ghosts that syphon health). Or monsters that slow you down, or weaken you. This is how you will die..

I for one hate buffing and they should make it a auto-cast feature you can click on or off depending if you like your party :P.

Personally I liked the Barbarian's buffs, three yells and everyone's happy.

Im griping about before they changed the buffs to not be a pain in the ass, back when I was slumming in molten core... good times...
Kinda funny, when they made the greater buffs I switched gears and started complaining about all the reagents I had to carry :P.
Paladins = Emo
EDIT: LOL THORNS WAS SINGLE CAST?
No wonder I never really got it unless we were facing bosses or in PVP after the changes.
Good to know.
