I was directed here from a site that was a petition to Blizzard to change the style or their game. Although I agree with most of what was said...
We fail to understand the dynamic of "gaming" how many games have we seen totally switch/change direction? even movies (sequels) that leave you at awe? It's because we get emotionally involved and fail to see they are doing it for the Bottom line...
Blizzard like any other group isn't looking to keep existing people that followed the story and are "true" fans... "true fans" of any game genre are a minority *overall*
That being said... you are looking at a game 9 years ago the 2nd one was released. That is a generation of gaming (I actually think 5 years is a "generation" when it comes to gaming now)
because of the rapid pace and expanse of computers and capability, anyway.....
The main problem is look.... MAYBE 10,000 "true fans" sign the petition.... then you look at the 10+ million who play WoW
if 5% of everyone who played WoW bought D3 because it was like WoW... Im sorry the bottom line is the bottom line.
My advice you want to play a game and keep it "true to itself" create it and always keep the same style, artistic vision, the same... see how long the game can survive; survive meaning your making making enough money off of it to actually patch it and continue to work on it. You won't You change... or lose... and now the age group who wins above all else ON every system
SFJake you let me down. I was exited when I saw you posted cuz I thought you would go off on this guy. Oh well, anyway one-post-wonder, since you are already probably gone, I don't need to correct you. But my advice is to watch the trailers and not one questionable screenshot, poser. Have a great day =).

5-15 year olds.... we are vastly outnumbered.
Nobody was talking about it.
Everyone got over it.
At least, in this forum. So why talk about it again? The style changed, it won't come back, bla bla bla, we all know that.
Its also nothing like WoW. No one is looking at D3 and saying they will buy it because it looks like WoW, because it doesn't.
Nothing more to see here.
Move along.
