I finally got around to adding functionality for the follower dps and EHP buffs. Please let me know if any calculations are not coming out, i.e., if they're off by more than +/- 0.01 DPS. I also added a table showing the dps and EHP gains from the Scoundrel and Enchantress buffs for quick reference and easy comparison.
If anyone is curious how the buffs actually interact with your stats, a quick summary follows:
The Crit from the scoundrel just adds to your total Crit%.
The Armor buff from Enchantress just adds to your armor modifier which is 1+sum(Energy Armor,Glass Cannon,Enchantress), so if you have EA with Enchantress, the modifier is 1+0.65+0.15=1.8.
The haste buff from Enchantress is NOT as described. It actually adds 0.03 attacks per second to your weapon attacks/sec before applying IAS from other sources. For example, I have a 0.9 APS weapon and 13% IAS total, giving me 1.017 APS total. Enchantress makes my weapon 0.93 APS, then I apply the IAS so my total APS is instead 1.0509.
EDIT: Initially I forgot to update the Equipped Comparison formulas, but the most recent version should be working correctly. Let me know if anything is off.
I'm sorry but I have no idea what you mean. Can you elaborate more?
My weapon is 1.54 attacks per second, at 880 DPS. If I was to switch to another weapon say 1.2 attacks per second, and 960 DPS it wouldn't be a damage upgrade for me. I don't understand why they don't have the attacks per second calculated into the weapon DPS.

They do have the attacks per second (APS) calculated into the weapon dps. The reason you might end up with less dps from using a weapon with higher dps on the tooltip is because of your off hand. Faster weapons means your OH contributes more to your overall damage since the OH damage is applied directly to your weapon each attack. For this reason wizards tend to get higher Damage Numbers using weapons with +attack speed and really high APS values than slower weapons with the same dps and no +attack speed. If you have no bonus damage, like if you're using a shield or 2h with no +damage on jewelery, then you should see the higher dps weapon always giving higher Damage Numbers and 2 equal dps weapons would give your character equal dps.
I'm trying to use the most updated version of the DPS spreadsheet and the number its showing me for my dps is way off. Math is definitely not my strong point.
Was wondering if there are any common mistakes that nubs like me make on this? I also use Sparkflint and am wondering if that has been taken into account.
One other thing: I'm trying to see the loss/gain of dps if I switch my wand with another. However the wand I use right now has 102% crit damage because of a slot in it. The sheet, as I understand it, uses your total crit change and damage to compare and contrast two weapons. If I change out my current wand for another, its going to change my total crit damage - which looks to me like it would make the spreadsheet not work?
Thanks, sorry for the nub, lame math skills questions.

Are you using the "simple" tab or the "Equipped Items" tab? Both should give the same dps with the same data input but it probably helps to start with the "Simple" tab because there's fewer things you need to input. I'll continue with that assumption since going from that tab to the more detailed tab is pretty straightforward, just more info to input. Also, you might find the "Notes" tab to be informative if you're unsure what to put into which box.
First off, you only need to input information in a box if it is yellow filled. Anything with another color should be left as is. A couple common mistakes are to put weapon bonus damage in some of the boxes when all you need to put in for the weapon is attacks/sec, +attacks speed, weapon min and max damage (shown on the tooltip directly below the weapon dps). Input your total Intellect in the "Primary Stat". If you have any items (usually rings, OHs and Amulets) with bonus damage like +x min damage or +y max damage or +x-y bonus damage you can put each value of x into one of the "Min + Dmg" boxes and each value of y in the "Max + Dmg" box or you could add them all up and put the total x and total y in 1 box respectively. Put the crit% and crit damage% found on your character sheet (press C, click the DETAILS button, in case you never looked at this window). The "+attack speed increase" is similar to the bonus damage boxes. You can either add up all the IAS on your gear and put it in one of the boxes or put each value in a box. When everything is put in correctly the green Mod AS box should match the value shown in game for your Attacks Per Second on your character details page. Now put the amount of bonus damage from skills shown on your character sheet in the "Bonus Damage" box and you should be done.
If the dps isn't close to your in game damage number (say a couple % off) then something might be wrong. If you have a weapon with +bonus damage it likely won't match exactly though without a weapon with that stat it should match to +/- 0.01 DPS. There's more infor about that on my first post so I'll direct you there as long as the DPS value is pretty close.
To compare weapons you can still use the simple tab or the equipped comparison tab. For the Simple tab you will have to include any relavent dps stats in the boxes under Equipped in the DPS Comparison area. If you have +crit damage and a socket with more crit damage just add it up and put it there. Leave the bonus damage % blank, it's only really there for the +x% damage to Elites for people that might want to see how useful that stat is. Then put the other weapon stats under Item 1 or Item 2 and it should show the dps difference. If it's negative then the new weapon is a dps loss. If you're using the Equipped Items tab and want to compare weapons in the Equipped Comparison tab, you only have to put the stats of the new weapon in since your currently equipped weapon stats were already entered on the previous tab.
I hope this helps but if you're having any problems feel free to pm or post another reply and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
As I've said numerous times and as it says on the Notes section of my spreadsheet for Bonus Damage%, it does not mean the bonus damage on your weapon. Do not put that weapon +damage% value anywhere in the spreadsheet. Bonus damage on weapons is already taken into account before the weapon damage range is displayed.
The bottom one is correct.
Crit damage you will put in the boxes since those are not included in the weapon dps on the tooltip.
First - thank you for the explanation Loroese - I greatly appreciate it!
I was using the more detailed area of the spreadsheet - not the simple tab. The dps that is shows I should have is about 1.5k off what I see on the paper doll online. One thing that I was curious abbout is bonus damage %. I can't find anyting on my detailed list online that shows any bonus damage % and I'm not sure what spells account into this. Would this be an area to input information like Force Weapon and Sparkflint? I.e. inputing a total of 27% (15 from FW and 12 from Spark)?
Secondly. I was inputing information into the compare weapons area and I think my slow, sloggy brain made sense of it. I have a wand that has 43% crit damage naturally on it with also a socket that with Radiant Emerald gives me anoher 60%. So I input a total of 103% in the area for crit damage % under the equipped column. I then put in the very reduced amount of crit damage on a wand I wanted to compare in the respective area.
Again specifically in the weapon comparison area, I'm assuming the bonus damage % area is for an affix on the weapon that says specifically X% Damage. I know the affix of X% - to X% Arcane damage is already calculated into the weapon's dps (big number) - I was just unclear about bonus damage %.
Again, thank you so much for making something like this and explaining it slowly, using pop-up books and small words to the mathmatically challenged.

First off, the Bonus Damage area is not for +damage% from weapons, it is only for +x% damage to elites and is more of an advanced user option because putting anything into it will prevent the reported values from matching the in-game values. I left it in my spreadsheet in case I ever find something with that +damage to elites affix and want to compare what dps to elites I would be doing.
For the Equipped Items tab you don't have to input anything into the Bonus Damage boxes. There are a couple "logic boxes" to the FAR right where you can indicate which buffs you have between Magic Weapon, Glass Cannon, Sparkflint, and Force Weapon. When you have entered everything in that sheet, the green boxes should match the values shown on your character sheet, and the Bonus Damage box should be the same as your "Bonus Damage from Skills" percent on your character details tab in game (second entry from the top of the column). If the DPS from the spreadsheet is still some 1.5k different from your in-game value, check each of the green boxes to see if the numbers match your in game values, but my guess is it has to do with the buffs.
If your dps is still off by a lot after that troubleshooting then post or PM a couple screenshots of the spreadsheet and in game values.
And when it comes to the weapon comparison, if you're using the "Equipped Comparison" tab, you only have to enter the stats of the new weapon in one of the columns. You can leave the other blank or use it to compare a second weapon to the one you have equipped.
now i'm a bit ashamed i didn't read your post directly above mine
one thing i didn't find:
is int already included into the weapon (in auction house) if i have my wiz selected?
seems so, in weapon dps doesn't change in auction and ingame view.
or is it nowhere included...
or do i have to add it like crit% critdmg%?
Int, or any primary stat for other classes, is NOT included in a weapon dps because the amount of dps gained per point depends on your gear. That is the same for crit and crit damage. The things included in the displayed weapon dps are those stats that only affect the base weapon stats like the base damages and base attack speed. If you're comparing the two weapons in-game, the tooltip that shows damage change does take those into account but there is no such tooltip when looking at stuff on the AH, which is half the reason I made the spreadsheet.
but i have a 824 dps 2h in my chest (200 int) it shows this dps value ingame and inah. thats confusing
I'm sorry but I don't understand what the issue is. The weapon dps value is simply that: the weapon dps value. The actual damage you get from equipping the weapon is based on that weapon dps as well as additional stats like Int.
hi, the spreadsheet works perfectly until i get the storm crow helm.
not sure where to put to bonus +5% lightning damage.
i tried placing it in to "bonus damage" box, but there is a dps discrepancy.
the numbers match perfectly when i don't equip the helm.
any suggestions?
I haven't tried using any items with that kind of bonus so I'm not quite sure how they work. Would you mind sending me some data? I'll need the data used in the "Simple" tab to compute dps, namely weapon stats, total crit%, total crit damage%, total IAS, total int, total +bonus damage on other gear, as well as the stats of both helms and dps values with each helm. You can either post here or just pm me the data.
maybe you missed my last post
will you look at the slightly discrepancy on the dps difference for int weapons?
Sorry, I must have missed the post. I believe the anwer is the in game tooltip for damage comparison is wrong, as far as your damage number goes. If you equip the weapon you should see that the spreadsheet calculated the dps difference correctly but the in game difference shown in your screenshot is slightly off. I've noticed the same thing on most items I look at. It doesn't have anything to do with the Int, as far as I know.
First off, nice job on the spreadsheet Once I get it working I'm sure it will be an invaluable resource!
I'm having a lot of trouble getting my DPS numbers to match up, in both the simple and the equipped items sheets. With full stats input, the simple calculation is about 2k DPS high, and the Equipped Items calculation is over 2 times too high. I've also tried getting naked except for a weapon, and the DPS numbers are still way off (though the spreadsheet may not work properly for this sort of thing, I don't know).
I'm pretty sure I'm doing something simple very wrong, but I can't spot it. Could it be that i'm using a 1h?
Note: In testing this, I found a bug where my ingame DPS varies by a few hundred dmg when I take of all my gear and then put it all back on again...
