No Asian has a long pointy nose like that. The eyes aren't a typical east Asian person's eyes, either. He really looks like a White guy with long dark hair.
Game companies often make their characters appear white/Asian biracial to appeal to both demographics.
I think that was Blizzard's reasoning for giving the wizards white/Asian biracial features.
Here are some examples of characters with a white/Asian biracial appearance:
Sheva Alomar -- Resident Evil -- Capcom
Ryu Hoshi -- Street Fighter -- Capcom
Link -- Zelda -- Nintendo
Magus -- Chrono Trigger -- Squaresoft
Mario -- Mario Brothers -- Nintendo
Captain Olimar -- Pikmin -- Nintendo
Samus Aran -- Metroid -- Nintendo
Those characters have the traits of both whites and Asians which are listed below.
white people:
1) long, angular, gaunt & narrow face
2) projecting and prominent facial features
3) high-nose bridge with a pointed nasal tip like a dagger
4) thin lips
Asian people:
1) short, round, plump & broad face
2) flat and featureless facial features
3) low-nose bridge with a rounded nasal tip like a mortar
4) full lips
I'm asian and your description is so stereotypical
1) Plenty of asians (expecially males) have long and gaunt faces.
2) Faces are not flat regardless of race and how can a feature be featurelss, doesn't make sense.
3) Wrong, again plenty of asians have high nose bridges.
4) Okay now this is just totally wrong, if anything asians have small-medium lip size.

I agree his description is stereotypical and not all Asians are like that, but my personal experience with Asian people at my college and general area is that practically all Asian have low rooted noses, even if a rare few have long noses they still have low bridged noses. also another feature that is always constant in most Asians is not having deep set eyes.
on another note it seems like they have down played asian like feature on the female wizard on the recent armor set
I think the longer you all debate this the more silly you realize it all is. But if some of you are really happy arguing the finer points on what makes a person appear as a particular race, carry on.

"white" is usually called "caucasian". just saying. also, Zach Galifianakis is of greek origin (i'm greek myself but i dont think i look like him) and he's caucasian too, as are we all greeks.

Wait what? All Greeks are Caucasian? I thought they were all gay?
OMG...she lied to me. Damn!

Quite oddly. Calling your average white Briton ‘Caucasian’ is like calling a Mexican ‘Canadian’ because their ancestors passed through Canada to reach Mexico.
I guess the misnomer can't be helped at this point, though. The distinctions are pretty useless, anyway.
The female wizard is definately Asian, yes. Chinese I think?
Absolutely. If, for some reason, the name Xiansai isn't enough to give it away as Chinese-inspired, the features of both the male and female wizards are more common in China than anywhere else. Do some Google image searches with the face filter using terms like ‘Chinese male model’ and ‘Chinese female model’ to meet our wizards.
I can understand why some people think otherwise, though. As with Europe, there is a multitude of distinct ethnicities amongst the nations of what we refer to as Asia, and it would be unusual for any one person to be familiar with the features of them all.
Using an easy European example, in England alone you've got at least 13 morphologically distinct (though slowly blurred, so to speak, over the last thousand years or twelve) groups derived from branches caused by events in the Paleolithic, and even that is painting with a very broad brush. You can drill down a lot more than this if you're really meticulous. Or a geneticist. Asia's no different. Tibetan facial morphology is very different from Taiwanese facial morphology....

‘I'M NOT LEAVING UNTIL WE ALL HAVE AIDS!’—The importance of calling them ‘mercenaries.’
It's obvious the intention of the Wizard class both male and female is to be Asian in appearance hands down. It doesn't matter if you've never seen an Asian male with a pointy nose like that, they definitely exist. The main reason the male Wizard has a pointy nose is because they idealized the Asian male the same way they idealized the Asian female.
It's already enough that the Asian characters are always the frail magic using/assassin types, I doubt they want to stir up a shitstorm by making the Male wizard non-Asian but the female completely Asian.

But it is obvious that pic has been photoshoped. You seem to have some features on it.
And we all know that in reality it is impossible.
I'll report you for your deceitful ways.
But what race are you?
Can't be white. That's for sure. The traits don't match.

PS. i lol'ed at your pic, Scyber.

Racist.

Male doesn't look asian to me, at least not in the artwork we saw...but the female is asian for sure.
