I know that FoT/Thuderclap is the goto attack, but with a 30% crit chance, 1000+ LoH, and 30K DPS (buffed), does WHF/Blazing Fists make more sense? Maybe if I were more effective in using the Thunderclap transport or less likely to find myself walled or imprisoned, I'd think differently but that increased attack speed seems very effective.
Both are amazing and should be considered the primary damage dealers we have.
I've tested both a lot and found that WotHF/Blazing Fists seems more attractive on paper, but FoT/Thunderclap just procs too much of everything, is wicked fast and the mini-teleport (seriously, its retarded to even call it a teleport) makes the damage close to non-stop.
Also, since you have 30% crit chance, you are probably running SW/Cyclone. You may have realized that the crits you do with the second part of WotHF (the e.honda punches) does not proc a stack of SW.
All in all, I love the movement and attack speed of WotHF, but now I only run it to farm Act 1 when I'm tired of FoT.
I dislike FoT/Thunderclap, but it is simply the best and fastest spirit generator, damage dealer and LoH/LpSp proc'er by a mile. To the point where I switched from DR/Keen Eye being undergeared and all for later acts and I'm actually doing better, with less kiting.
Agreeing with Luizdeh.. I was stuck in Act3 for a while, running sword&board. I tried FoT/TC, WotHF, and DR/Keen.. mostly kept to DR for the extra armor, which I thought I needed (the Keen would push me to around 1k armor). But ultimately, the ability to mini-teleport and keep damage up constantly is too powerful to ignore, especially if you're a LoH monk.
Just to reinforce, I finally decided to switch to dual-wield with FoT/TC, running 1.5k LoH.. and I've cleared Act3 and half of Act4 now, with a few deaths and only 2 skipped elites so far. BTW, I've only got 6k armor (after MoE buff) and around 700 all resist. So... dual-wield FoT LoH is FTW (acronym overload).
FoT/TC spawns more tornados than any other main attack and greatly improves mobility. FoT is actually amazing damage the better your shield is due to the interaction with crit and tornado production.

But seriously, even with my 25% crit chance, tornadoes are all over the place with FoT/Thunderclap.
