I have read the plethora of threads and videos out there explaining "how to gear" but i still seem to be stuck.
I am able to do T1 without much of a problem, although it seems to go kinda slow.I would appreciate some assistance in figuring out what i can change to look for in order to break the wall so i can attempt T2.
My apologies the link to my character did not post
More str more vit more crit chance or switch in a skill for Judgement/Resolved for high crit. I Also found that having only one spender helps a lot since you cant be using both at once easily but then again I like having everything on cooldown and just slaming them with high crit from judgement. However I have started to hit a wall around T2 as well so... take my advice with a grain of salt. Though take a look at my build both for help for your own and perhaps people could help us both lol
I appreciate the info, I don't mind changing 1 or 2 skills out but I was hoping i could still use my current play style to be able to progress further.
If that's the case i'm going to have to reevaluate my entire build to increase my Damage out put for progression.
I guess ill have to pray to the RNG Gods to get me some decent drops to help further.
@OP I would get rid of either judgement or shield glare for heavens fury ascendancy. the reason why your clears on torment are slow is because you have too much cc in your build and not enough damage, i encountered the same problem when i was using actual cc skills. this is the build im currently usinghttp://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/astinoth-1761/hero/43648642 i only just recently switched to blessed shield because it is currently the best fire based wrath spender, i use burst from justice as my cc its really all you need as it procs quite often, reroll your bracers for +elemental dmg, switch out avg dmg on yoru puzzle ring to crit dmg and the LOH on your wedding band to crit chance and you should see a considerable dps increase. also if you havent re rolled yourhelm yet i would re roll the vit to crit chance, if you rolled the socket i would switch it out for crit chance.
@docsun not really sure what kind of play style youre going for so a little hard to help with the build but as far as your gear goes your stat priorities should be crit chance>crit dmg>str>+ele dmg>cdr>ias as far as re rolling an item goes.
I did the adjustments that both of you suggested and have boosted my stats drastically and am able to farm T1 much faster. I still run into the one and twosies that hurt bad but i am not worried at this point.
I am just under the 600k mark and am now wondering how people get to the 1 -1.2 million DPS mark without loosing the toughness.
Most people can get to 1-1.2 million "damage" on the character sheet pretty easily by getting trifecta rings, amulet, and gloves... (trifecta = crit hit+crit damage+attack speed on one piece of gear).
There are numerous problems with this type of setup however... Yes you are doing to hit hard and crit a lot, but you aren't going to maximize your damage output. What a lot of people dont realize is that character sheet damage means almost nothing. I have gotten my character sheet damage up to 1.4 million and I was doing less DPS than I was just by switching up my build and gear a little bit giving me around 800k character sheet damage.
Your abilities need to synergize with each other and with the gear you are wearing to be most effective. For example, the build I am running right now is based off block chance. "WTF block chance?" you say? Yes! block chance! By running a high block shield and punish with hold your ground as a passive you can get a massive boost to skills like shield bash and blessed shield. Popping provoke will also boost the damage of these skills.

That sounds like the build i was originally going for but switched it up because i didn't have the right gear to efficiently run T1 with.
I got a few new pieces of gear and am starting to figure out a new build and how to affectingly make it work.
