I spent about 15-20m on my gear, currently trying to sell my old stock for about 5-6m total to get myself 2-3 really good pieces.
I was farming Act 1 from Q4 to Butcher netting me around 250k an hour. I didn't feel like farming pots.
At the moment, two of my friends (wizard and Dh) are farming Act3 with 3 times less gear than me which is frustrating. But at least, I get the feeling I'm doing it the good way, the way Blizzard wanted it at first.
Well guys, it's possible but a lot more difficult than Wizard, Dh and even WD.
You can take a look at the guy who spent quite a bunch of money on his gear on the forum. He is currently farming act 3 and 4 so yeah!
Oh yeah, that's without Way cry + resist rune., I have around 800 resist and 8k armor.
New shoulders, chest, helm and weapon would really help me quite a lot. Rest is really damn good.
The zone before Siegebreaker and the bridge is near impossible at the moment without using cheap tactics. After the boss even. The biggest problem is the spell damage from monsters and the fact that I can't control the mobs with my skills like I did before. The damage from spells is excessive. Since I need to melee them, I can't really dodge those attacks, so every times I receive all of it in the face.
I would like those arms-guys going in melee when there is a barb/monk around, same goes for those flying bastard.
That would help to a high level.
Nice job, i've been looking into trying this myself after clearing inferno using sword and board. Atm im just upgrading my gear to get more strength in addition to all the defensive stats and when I get ready im gonna try slapping a 2hander in there and see what happens.
I'm farming siegebreaker with 5 stacks with a 2Hander as well, tyreal boosting me ftw. Got 1k physical resist rest 900ish and 8,7k armor and 52k hp and still get trashed sometimes only 16k dps though. How are you survivng in act3? Only killing mobs stunned by ground slam? Got about the same spec as your act3 one except wotb instead of groundslam.
Feels fun with a 2H indeed, just need a tad more armor/resists/hp myself and it will be less painful
Hey there, good to see other ppl using 2H aswell, finished act 2 yesterday. Kulle was easy but Belial was tough cause he could one shot me with most of his abilities in the last phase. I think i will have to farm act 1 and 2 some more before going really deep into act 3.
how did you get that much crit chance without weapon master, and why not frenzy but rather cleave? (hit n run?)
Cleave + Ground slam is awesome. It does more damage in the end than frenzy. Same goes for blue/elites, (156% x 3-4)
In act 2 I do not use cleave, but rather frenzy/bash. I prefer bash though.
I'll do it later, do not have much time right now! Most of my piece have around 100/100 strength/vitality, 50 all resist and 50 to another resist.
Weapon is 1200dps 94% crit dam str/vit.
Nice, i was able to hit 35k dps atm, still need to replace some gear pieces, after reading you post i actually sold my stormshield + 1 hander for 12mil and bought my self a 1550 dps 2 hander:)
I still torn about string of ears, if i should sell it or not.
Sold my string 3m and got myself 3 good damn pieces! I got a lot a of dps/HP from my new belt over string. I seriously think that the belt won't be needed as much after 1.0.3 and 1.1, so the extra money is really nice! Even more if string is buffed at 1.1!
Is it all about the Crit Chance/Crit Damage?
I would like to try 2h myself, but i don't have any crit gear. Is it still worth trying or do you recommend a certain amount of crit/crit chance before even trying?
It's easy to reach 25% crit and 200% crit dam. Make sure you have the defensive gear before trying 2-hand build. I would recommend 750 resist before going into DPS gear!

I felt so bad doing it that way, I sold all my items and got myself a 2-Handed weapon.
Currently Act1 and 2 are on farm, from start to finish with 5 buffs, not skipping anything.
Act 1 build is pretty much anything
Act 2 build: http://us.battle.net...XVkP!ZbV!ZcaccZ
Act 3 build: http://us.battle.net...XVRk!abV!YZacbc
I could keep 5 buffs in Act3, but it would require me to wait for CD everytimes, so I actually change my skills every now and then.

A post from someone on battle.net forums. This guy speak the truth!

So happy!
Yes Groundslam is quite the spell! For white trash... I use Wotb on elite/blue, i don't try to keep NV in act3-4. I do use Wotb in Act1-2

8% from gloves, 8% amulet, 4% helm, 3% rings, 4% bracers and something else I don't remember!
