Dont know if this has been talked about yet, it if is delete it or close it.
Ok, I was thinking about this because there is no new info and im losing my mind.
Alright... basically what this thread is about is leveling with a group and doing it solo. Basically, if you level with a group is the experience you get from monsters going to be downgraded based on a % where if each person or new person joins your party in your game will it go down a bit each time based on the item theory that you would be killing monsters faster, therefor gaining experience faster, therefor there would be no need to get enhanced experience buffs while playing in a group?
The item theory they are working on and tweaking is that when you make a game you start off at a high percentile for drops, but gradually with each new person joining your game that % goes down for item drops based on the theory that you will be moving threw the game faster so it is balanced for how many drops each monster is dropping. (bashiok said that, or they did in an article I cant remember). Why am I talking about items? Well i figure this is how there going to do experience but I could be way off lol.
So based on that idea is experience gained going to basically be like that aswell? Wasnt that sort of how it was in D2 for experience or was it something else? I cant remember I haven't played it in awhile.

If you get personally attacked by letters through the internet its a good thing to always have a box of tissues and a band-aid around.
Thats how the new individual item drop thing is going to work now. But your right, that doesnt promote team gameplay more than it would if you just want to solo. But bashiok Did say that. (about the item % drop thing)

Well if the item drop is true I'd think the exp% wouldn't be. Because then people would be much more enticed to play solo.
The % of exp may be scaled down a LITTLE but overall we should still be gaining more.
I agree, we should get more exp especially from hell mode or higher level difficulty in a group
I dont like there item system too much either for team playing... but thats

There are individual drops in all mobs. So it does make sense if the item % decreases based on party size, because you would gain the same % of loot soloing and cooperation.
The game does encourage cooperation though, so I doubt this system will apply. Blizzard is constantly changing D3 for the better.
I think i liked it the way in d2. Where more players join the game and monsters get more difficult. And when that happens u get more exp.or somthing like that. I havent played d2 in years..

I don't expect it to follow standard MMORPG party rules. And one would assume you would gain more "MF" for the more people you have in a party, otherwise it would become slightly pointless, or they would be forced to put in enemies that can't be solo'ed because no one in their right mind would party if the reward was lowered.
I imagine experience would also be increased, as per the same argument stated above. There has to be a positive side to parting with other people as Diablo is already a fast paced game.
