Elfen, I'm assuming it'll work something like this...
1) You write in a monster (ex: Xerxis)
2) You pass on that portion of story to me and I figure out what this fellow looks like / how he fights / etc
3) I give back to you to approve and then pass on to Atru to design
Additionally I'll probably be responsible for coming up with some similar attributes to common monsters (ex: Fallen) that appear in numerous locations and times.

That was how I saw it. Though personally, I wouldn't mind having an artist on my writing staff.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
My downfall is my artistic abilities, I cannot truly portray visually, what I can come up with in words. Kind of annoying at times, You have the image in your head, but you can't do it justice when you try draw it.
Someone who can in essence, play both fields can usually come up with some pretty good stuff. Classic example is Chris Metzen. Awesome storywriter, and a great artist.

You haven't been offically added to a team, as no one has truly apporoached you for a role, nor have you yourself requested to fill a role.
Man, I envy/admire Chris Metzen. Soo awesome.
Diablo 1 manual. That is some seriously amazingily good work. Leoric's descent into madness is sheer artistic brilliance.

At the risk of breaking a forum cardinal rule, i.e double posting, Iwould just like to further add, to all who sign up for this, can you let us know if you are to be absent for what ever reason.
DjDragon, where are you?
I don't want this to be another forum project killed by inactivity. We have enough of those already.

Many of us do use MSN. Check the profile to the left. It displays a little icon for MSN. You could alternatively view a person's profile, it might also be there.

At Elfen Lied's request, I have been accepted to the team, though I'm not entirely sure where I fit in at the moment. I'm no artist, so it's safe to assume I'll be on the writing staff (aw, no stick figure-style Diablo for us).

Consider me your pawn, Elfen.
I am having trouble deciding which team to put you on.

A lot of people here tend to just manipulate images on photoshop. I had a look through the Diablo Art section to try and find people who can draw from scratch, and I found these:
Umpa65 calls himself an artist likwidsteel has a pencil drawing of Diablo Doppelganger also has a drawing of diablo darkjay stated that he does things in pencil Thasador once said that he should 'start submitting in some art'
Its possible that there are more people who can also draw from scratch, but I haven't found any evidence from them yet.
Whiteghost, AlphaX, Magistrate and Zetiam may also be able to draw their own, but I haven't seen their work yet.
I would also say LinkX but he's not in the mood, and also DarknessAngel and fbim4 but they are no longer active.
and of course there is Jetrall lol.
I don't know how willing any of those people are though.

I know of her literary skill. We have more than one writing team? I thought we had a writing team and an art team? Man, I’ve been gone too long (36 hours)
somehow I think I'm gonna end up being the only artist on here lol. and if that happens... well, we all know how busy I am lol.
Yes, I imagine that being a high possibility. Jetrall is much the same. But prehaps someone else will put there hand up.

I'm not going to post crap. How would that possibly do the series justice?
I take time working on stuff, I like to make sure it's good.
Sure I could throw out some rushed story about how Tyrael is now evil because part of the worldstone entered his body, but that is lame, not to mention it has very little to do with Diablo, and how he got out of the Black Abyss.
I also don't like half noting things. If I am working on a character, be it an angel, or demon or human, and all I really have is a name and a very vague concept for looks, say big horns, big claws, and a tail. I would rather submit something when I have something mor concrete, size, proportion, a short note about personality, is he manipulative? cold? psychotic? seductive? intelligent? or a simpleton?
I not some designer for Pokemon, trucking a new game out every 6 months.
Team stuff does get us somewhere assuming we stay in communication. I only just talked to DjDragon for the first time this morning. And I haven't spoken to lydeck, and I talked with John once. THat is partially why I initiated talks with Requiem, whom I speak with quite often.
Often to save on a bit of time, team members are assigned certain tasks, much like who they work as a collective. While I myself could be primarily concerned with story, which I am largely doing, another of my team could be working, in part, on the characters that will inhabit my story, while I would imagine I would be doing the majoirty of that, going the opposite route is not uncommon, if I have a part of a manipulative seductress, but are struggling to flush out the details, I could turn to a member of my team who may have created a character that filled the part perfectly.

Imaginers:
Leaders: If you think of something really nice, all you have to do is share it with the other Head Imaginer and it's good.
Normies: If you think of something, you have to share it with both of the Head Imaginers to put it in.
Elfen, I hope this helps you because I need a fucking story.
