So this is my first post on this site and even after reading some of the guides, i still seem to be having trouble with Act 2. Act 1 is now a cake walk. Act 2 white mobs I can seem to handle decently, Wasp are a bitch to handle though... Any ways here are my stats and still setup...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I'm having the same issues in inferno act 2 as well, but mainly in group play and against champ packs.
And the wasps are a pain in the ass! Last night my friend and I got a molten, arcane, vortex, frozen and some other affixes(s) champ pack for wasps. Took forever to kill them. Right after that we got a rare elite wasp that had illusion, mortar, minion, plagued and some other affixes. We had to give up on this pack because we couldn't determine the true boss to kill with all of the bees and fireballs on screen.
My skills are almost the same as yours, but my stats are a little lower than what you listed. I play sword and board and have a decent shield, though it could use a higher block percentage.
We have gone back to farming act 1 in hopes of getting some better gear or at least money to buy better gear off the AH. Hopefully this will help.
Currently I have this stats and is farming act2 - so far so good, i can handle almost all mobs except for some combination.
50k hp
20k dps
9-10k armor (buffed with enchantress and passive skills)
800-900 all resist - (buffed with warcry impunity)
passive: superstition, nerves, nails
skills: almost the same as you but intead of wrath - i use leap (so that i can maneuver if i get into trouble)
Those are my resist unbuffed... everything up there is unbuffed... but buffed only nets me about 620 or so... so maybe i need to try and get more resist... and maybe some life on hit...
Edit: I am also dwing atm...
Seems to me that your stats should be sufficient for Act II. What is your playstyle like?
I ask this because a few small playstyle changes made enough difference for me to farm Act 3. I use a 2-hander but my build is very similar to yours. The only difference is that I use Leap with Iron Impact rune rather than Ignore Pain.
I prefer leap because the damage reduction from Iron Impact has much higher uptime than Ignore Pain. I'll leap into a pack, beat them up for 4-6 seconds, and if my health begins to drop after the armor buff is gone I'll charge out and heal myself to full. Then I'll run away for 3-4 seconds until Leap is off cooldown then repeat.
What was killing me before was trying to stand toe-to-toe with elite mobs without a damage reduction cooldown like Leap.

I've been using Ignore Pain as well, but was thinking about giving Leap : Iron Impact a try.
I've also been wanting to use War Cry : Impunity to see if it helps me survive in Inferno Act 2, but I am not sure what to give up.
Here are my skills...
1. Revenge : Provocation
2. Wrath of the Berserker : Insanity
3. Earthquake : Path of Fire
4. Ignore Pain : Ignorance is Bliss
LMB: Cleave : Rupture
RMB: Furious Charge : Dreadnought
When I encounter a champ pack/rare I run in, hit 2, 3, 4 (due to duration timing) and that usually burns stuff down and kills 2-3 champs. Throw off a Revenge every now and then and then run out and use Furious Charge to heal up and pop Ignore Pain again, if it was up.
This has worked for me all the way through Inferno Act 1, but the Earthquake damage just isn't doing the job in Act 2, especially when I encounter mobs that don't stay in melee range. This is why I was thinking about a skill change.
I'm not at home now, so I can't list my exact stats, but I will tonight. Here are guess to what they are.
Using Sword and Board
48-49k life
10-11k damage
7-8k armor
350-420 resists
My weapon is around 812 dps and my shield has 1100-ish armor, 16% block and blocks 3700-ish to 4200-ish damage or something like that. None of my gear has LoH.
I do have a 1200+ dps 2h axe I found and it helps when using Earthquake, but I lose the 54 resist all my shield has and I lose the armor from the shield.
Any thoughts on changes to my setup based on the approximate details above? Again, I can post specifics later when I get home.
I think i am going to give Leap: Iron Impact a Try...
Cavar, I would recommend giving up Earthquake for War Cry: Impunity.
If your going to try and take Leap, I would recommend giving up Ignore Pain for it... As you have Revenge, and Furious Charge: Dreadnought for healing... I think if you nee little more healing than that, the next step is some Life on Hit... thats my next step.
Also, I don't know your item setup up, but your next upgrade should be something with more strength even if it is at the expense of Vit... don't drop below 41k health, especially if your Strength is 1400...
Bought an Ammy with LoH and lost ignore pain for leap with Iron impact... survived alot longer this time only died once once I came across Arcane Molten Jailer Waller adds... like really, its like they did it on purpose since I was actually doing well... Leaped out of Walls, charged through mobs to heal Jailed, right where arcane spawned... dead... looking forward to being able to play tomorrow...
i change passive to berserk, brawler, nerves sometimes to pump up my dps
I gave this build a try tonight on Inferno Act 2 and progressed almost to Maghda and only had to bypass 1 rare elite that was molten, arcane, illusionist, minion and some other affix, so I'd say the build was a success. Thanks!
I'm happy to help any of you guys that are asking for help in game if you wanna add me, battletag is on the left under my avatar. I just find it easier when I can look at individual pieces and give upgrade advice that way.
Here are my current stats, and I farm act2 easily.
STR - 1535
VIT - 1167
Crit Hit - 34.5%
Crit Dmg - 312%
All Resist Average (with WarCry) - 540
HP - 58K
Life on Hit - 700
Dmg Reduction - 73%
Block - 27%
DPS - 36.5K
Passives - Beserker Rage | Tough As Nails | Ruthless
From your first post I would do the following changes; increase your HP to at least 50k and your DPS to at least 30k and get at least 500 Life on Hit. And I would change your skills to be like this.
Bolded are the changes.
Left Click: Frenzy w/ Sidearm Right Click: Overpower w/Crushing Advance
1: War Cry w/ Impunity
2: Revenge w/ Provacation 3: Leap w/ Iron Impact
4: Wrath of the Berserker w/ Insanity
If you can attain the HP and DPS with LoH I stated you will not need ignore pain, granted using Overpower instead takes a little getting used to but it is a VERY powerful skill. Your charge I replaced with Leap as it is a great escape skill and Iron impact increases your armor for greater defense. Also be sure to have pickup radius at least 6 yards on some piece of your gear, this will keep those health globes coming in while standing still. Your passives are fine btw, but if you can do the above increases I would get Ruthless as it is a MAJOR dps increase.

It's good that you have progressed with my build. If you have an axe, try to drop superstition and change it to weapon mastery, it could help you pump up your dps, but so far that build still keeps me until early act 3 coz after that I need to gear check again which would cost me millions again. For now I'm happy farming act 2 with ease.
My first act2 clear was with similar stats, although lighter on dps and better resists for less armor.
Anyhow, I found juggernaut in place of superstition made all the difference on tough elite affix combos. Frozen/Nightmare with arcane enchant had previously massacred me or simply kited me to death. After using juggernaut I got through them, albeit slowly.
Also, don't take a very defensive spec up against belial solo. You will hit the enrage and die unless you're geared to the 9's. I've yet to take him down in my usual farming sword/shield setup.
PS: I cleared act2 for the first go without any LoH, so it can be done. (Build linked below)

your dps is quite low, and also you need to up your resist - let say around 500 unbuffed... you definitely need warcry impunity.
give up the following, they have long cooldowns
-wrath
-earthquake
i use this build for full defensive
