That could be interesting but i think by that point the player will just find that annoying as they have been so conditioned into feeling comfortable with the traditional layout.
I see where you are going with the increased drop rate % but I dont think it would even be necessary as people will be choosing areas that they either want to play or are optimal for the archetype of their toon. It will be infinitely enjoyable and with so much content, expansive. I believe that something like that may also inspire some kind of "Inferno Only" matchmaking system to match players with common interests as far as the game is concerned.

Well, the droprate increase would only be for choosing the "all random" option to compensate the player for not automatically choosing the optimal spot and going there repeatedly.
I have a feeling I'm going to be perfectly happy with Inferno though, so any other options are gravy.

Got you. Yea that would make sense. Missed the part about random picks for some reasonz. But yea Inferno should do lol. All I am saying is that a feature like this would almost be like building your own end game. Then no one can complain and they get everything they want every time.
first there is no "end game" for D3
but things to keep you entertained to the max level and farm gear
with this in mind I think inferno will be a challenge until you equip yourself properly and then will not provide much for the "end game"
I chose Horde Mode/PvP but
Horde Mode/PvP + Infinite Dungeon = Infinite Horde Mode
the name speak for itself
Kill waves of monsters and bosses and show up in the hall of fame.
would be a good end-game PvE
what about a Town Defence type scenario - say the town guards employ you as a merc. Simillar to the Tower Def mods way back in Warcraft3, where you could play as your hero in multiplayer and defend Trist from swarms of evil minions.
think starship troopers cross between Horde mode - co-op PvM. where the aliens swarm over the walls of a town. you run around and stop em. man turrets, lookouts, some sort of holy defence where you have to work as a team. every so often a lesser or greater evil approaches and you have to collect and build relics during the normal waves in time to stop em
endless dungeon will get booring very fast, best things are - some kind of instances, could be daily/weekly. Lots of random encounters. Also Blizz should understand that Diablo 3 should be 50/50 pve/pvp game. There should be capture flag, king of the hill, resources type of games. With all these features D3 would be complete.
P.S. Yes, lots of examples from WOW, but why not take best features to our beloved Diablo 3?
I agree. I hate it when people get worked up b/c they are referencing WOW. The fact is... WOW is the highest selling/most played video game of ALL TIME. There are some good ideas in there! Lets use them for Diablo to make an even better game!!!
