Build Guide
Now that we have the gear out of the way, let’s move on to how this works. The golden rule with this build is your mages are all the damage you will do. You can’t take any damage or deal any for that matter, without their help. So, you need to try to keep at least 4 skeletal mages up always.
But how to achieve this if they are at their best when you spend the maximum amount of essence? Well, let me tell you! Your gear and skills are designed to get you essence as quickly as possible. This in turn causes you to create mages faster, and also sets up the Reilena’s Shadohook skill (You have this in the cube) to give you maximum damage output for them!
Your standard attack (Bone Spikes) will get you essence, as will health globes (Reaper’s Wraps). Using Devour will cause more globes to pop up around you and because of your bracers, you will refill in no time.
When you walk up to a fight, always start the attack with Command Skeletons. Doing so will set off your Jesseth’s Arm bonus and give your mages a boost of 400% damage. Last and most certainly not least is the giant boost of Simulacrum and Land of the Dead. With these two skills combined, your damage goes completely through the roof. You double in maximum essence and you also create a corpse less setup for your devour skill. In doing so, you have more globes dropping and you also have much stronger mages being summoned. I use this combo in tougher fights (large groups of elites or the Rift Guardian) and it completely clears out everything around you, while maintaining your maximum number of mages.
With all this in mind, please keep aware of your surroundings and take absolutely everything around you down. Without the coverage of your mages, you will get one-shotted a whole lot and it can become very frustrating. Due to pet toughness, your mages will not drop in a fight and you can hide behind them for almost every fight in the GR. So long as you clear out everything around you, there will rarely be a sneaky little guy hitting you from behind.
As I said before, this build relies heavily on the gear and mages to be effective. It may seem like a bit of work to get it all going, but I assure you that it is totally worth the effort. If there are any further enquiries you wish to make about how it all works, don’t hesitate to ask on the forums, discord or in game.
Enjoy and I hope this was helpful!
Not a bad build, if I say so myself!
Quite fun build, but I found I tended to have a few survivability issues (less than my previous build). Swapped out Simulacrum for Command Golem (Blood Golem rune) and Frailty (Aura of Frailty rune). Now, if I'm dying... I just send tell the Golem to heal me, and I run through... 9/10, I live, everything dies.
So if, like me, you find this one a bit squishy, but too much fun to change... Do what I did, and have a blast as a kamikazi runner.
Not a bad change up. The squishiness of the build is not for everyone. I got used to being on the move a whole lot with it, though. Figured it was worth the share
Yeah. It isn't as squishy as another build I had been using, and it wasn't fun dying that frequently or rapidly - and that is saying something (I tend to only play the squishiest of glass cannons).
How much CDR do we need? %33-35 ok or do we have to roll CDR every possible items we have?
CDR is a good thing to have. But CHC and CHD are more of the priority. Roll it where you think it's good to have
