Build Guide
With patch 2.4.3
a new demon hunter power item will be introduced which seems to boost “some” major skills using grenades;
Hellcat Waistguard
-Grenades have a chance to bounce 3-5 times, dealing
an additional 50% damage on each bounce
-This bonus is increased to 800% on the final bounce
-The following skills are affected by this power:
-Cluster Arrow – Dazzling Arrow, Cluster Bombs, Loaded for Bear, and No Rune
-Rain of Vengeance – Anathema
-Strafe – Demolition
-Rapid Fire – Bombardment
Among the possibilities, in which this new item could be utilized, a Marauder 6pc setup based on CA/Cluster Bombs looks promising.
Although it has huge damage potential, the rune is discarded without second thoughts due to its movement restrictions, slow damage ramp, awkard targeting/firing animation which falls into the same group with rapid fire..
HW belt seems to address this issue and boost the damage outcome drastically, so it is time to re-consider everything we have known so far..
Playing around gear/stats/skills/passives,I came up with a possibly usable and enjoyable setup combination.
I basically call this build
“GLASS GRENADER”
Because the number of slots to equip complementary power items are too limited. And even the least forgiving shift to make room for HW requires you to trade off some serious amount of toughness. I had to ditch Garwulf Cloak which makes you loose 3 pets and the 27% toughness they provide via Zoey’s Secret.
It has to be played in max range and melee encounters should be avoided at all costs.
Although there are several passive mechanisms for DR which would help you survive a hit or two, it is all about creating havoc with grenades from distance.
The max distance rule is not for only surviving but to maximize damage via Zei’s Stone and Steady Aim passive.
In the included video link, I tried to go crazy without any survival skills selected.
It requires extreme caution while progressing forward, because there are no escape mechanisms, speed buffs, cheat death etc. in this version.
This might not be the fastest or toughest build out there, but it has undeniably solid damage.
It might find a slot in 2/3/4 player groups. Maybe even some suicidal solo high GR push.. I leave the rest to experts..
I hope you have fun watching t70 test run youtube video ..
