For those of you who don't know me i am a massive nerd and have been playing the 2.1 PTR religiously since its been up.
Speaking as a monk with multiple rank 1 titles for every season of the PTR, This has given me some insight into what builds work for higher GR's and builds that don't.
Legendary gems used:
Gorok of Swiftness (required)
Gem of Efficacious Toxin (10% Party buff)
Zei's Stone of Vengeance (20% stun)
Amazing thing about this spec:
135% Uptime on Epiphany (~4 sec overlap)
162% Uptime on Inner Sanc (~2.3 sec overlap)
>>108% Uptime<< on Serenity: Ascension (~.31 sec overlap) <--- Immortality
*values with max 81.55% CDR*
Basic game-play strategy:
Spam your serenity for near invulnerability (small downtime after first serenity before your gem has stacked to 15% CDR) - then run ahead grouping the mobs ~ pulling them into a good position for your buddies so they can kill them from a safe distance, then damage amp the mobs (by up to 146%)!
Skill variations:
Mantra of conviction - Overawe (more group damage, less control)
Mantra of salvation - Agility (less group damage, small group buff)
Epiphany - Insight (if you have a xephirian amulet and a good internet connection)
Cyclone strike - Wall of wind (more crowd control, smaller pull radius)
Passive variations(+hellfire bonus):
Resolve (less personal survivability, small group buff)
Unity (small group buff, only viable if using MoC)
Exalted Soul (helps with spirit regen when using desert shroud)
Stat Priority:
Helm: Socket=Leoric Crown %>Vit
Shoulders: CDR>Vit>RCR
Torso: x3 Sockets>11% Elite damage reduction (secondary: 7% Melee dmg reduction)
Legs: x2 Sockets
Gloves: CDR>Vit
Rings: CDR>Socket
Waist: CDR>15% Health
Wrist: 30% Strong arm Roll>Vit (secondary: 7% Melee dmg reduction)
Amulet: CDR>Socket>18% Life>Vit
Weapons: CDR>RCR>Vit
You want secondary resist on all your pieces(where possible).
Paragon Point priority:
Core: Cap Movement speed>Vit
Offence: CDR>Attkspeed
Defense: Armour>All Res>Life>LPS
Utility: LoH=RCR
Important note:
You need MAX rolled CDR on, Ring x2, Necklace, Gloves, Shoulders, Belt, Helmet(gem), Weapons x2. You should end up with 81.55% CDR(including gem stacks + paragons).

Does "gem stacks" refer to Gorok of Swiftness or the gem on Leoric's crown?
dose it works off/with with Thunderfury or dose it have to be from independant light damage?
It no longer procs off item damage
frost-burngauntlets are pretty much a dead item with little to no synergy with the build skill set wise, the use and limitation of this item is hindered by the fact that with out having secondaries randomly roll some kind of on hit chill/freeze effect and both weapons rocking cold damage per auto frost-burns effect is a wasted slot as it has limited ways to trigger.

are best in slot via stun proc's, however with lag ping times being a general issue creating the "god mode"
i feel these might actually be best in slot:
ST Archews Gage http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/st-archews-gage or a very close 2nd thanks to its life % shield buff every 30 seconds
i also found this in game that might be very usefull for the cdr.rcr builds :
band of untold secrets can roll 5 main stats with 1 secondary making it a contender for the open ring spot
mine dropped with: cdr, rcr, socket, dex, %life, and golf find{blah}
my other thoughts questions are running which gem as third slot : whats better with pros/cons

with gem triggered at max stacks
1-( (0.92^ 6) * (0.9^5) * (.8) * ( (1- (0.125*2 )) * 0.85 ) => 83.88% ~ max
78.52% From Gear and Paragon
81.74% From Gear Paragon and Gogok (Gem)
im sitting at 81.54 % with a 95% leoirics and max cdr
there is some rounding errors in the game causing a +- 0.01 % discrepancies with out the gem stacked

that i rough calculated compared to actuall leads to some ???
is the gem actually calculated correctly in game or is there a hidden max cap?
i know that the % effects from the gem aren't calculated independently other wise it be 81.35% max but as indicated above from my own 95% helm it exceeds this number
While there is some use of Having Intelligence on your gear instead of Dex, with it Giving you more AR. However dexterity is more beneficial cwith it giving you armor. as you should be getting all the Resistances you need From your gear and "Harmony".
I would only use an Itellgence peice over a Dex Item is if i didn't have that item with Dex but had it with Intelligence instead.
I know freeze is important too but it seems to DR pretty quick. Thoughts?

Have you given any thought to swapping wrists to gungdo bracers and swapping out the mantra for exploding palm with flesh is weak? I am currently running the Inna set for the mantra buffs and along with these small tweaks we were doing grift 50+ legit on PS4. My paragon level is still under 1000. I am running with two mages which are just wrecking everything while i keep the enemies off them.
If you use zodiac ring (spenders reduce cd) then you can have 100% uptime on serenity. This will allow you to swap out epiphany for EP. Should help with overall dps and faster clears of higher GR
40+Quin why not higher like 50+? Hey I forgot what does zDPS mean?
