Why use bracers of destruction. Seismic Slam does so little damage. Why not use Strongarm Bracers and buff all damage by 20-30%?
I'm assuming because of its interaction with Girdle of Giants.
What you have to keep in mind though with the old version the majority of your damage came from EQs so the belt makes sense in that regard.
In higher rifts you wont be able to kill everything before DR kicks in.
Theorycrafters have worked this out, but what this basicly comes down to is it worth buffing ALL damage by 30% in higher GRs vs SS getting a 400% increase, this will be true if your SS will be more than 12% or so of your damage - which it probably will be unbuffed.
I havent really played PTR , i just tried this build after it was posted and to me it felt really weird vs normal leap quake builds and also more squishy due to less time airborne , thus overal more incoming damage.
sth, double post, del
jump three times, (falter), SS (up untill your jumps will be avaliable again), jump three times....
hello foaks
where does Earthquake fit into this rotation?
First of all I must say thank you for this fun build mate! I am having fun playing this season again with this build which I wasn't expecting=)
I don't have the hellfire amulet or the ancient items(only gloves ancient) but this works exceptionally. Just a minor updrage for speed farm till gr57 which we did boosting 2 zero dps with this build by changing the Furnace with In-geom. This is not just for Leap ability(sure its fun to leap without any limit) but spamming Falter on elites is surely amazing and bursting everything. Hope you try and like it.
Fantastic build. This is by far the best season I've had and certainly the most fun.
I made the mistake of completely ignoring the Ring of Royal Grandeur. Getting your 6-piece bonus is an insane boost in damage. For me it was the difference between crawling through GR40 and decimating GR50. So if you're just starting out go find a RoRG before anything else.
@Rhyker, damn, this build IS good!!!
Just got set boots and lacking furnace and restraint, i was able to get to GR 45 easily. With those items i can break 50-60 easily, and then get ancients for caldessan to another boost.
EDIT: got to 50, still lacking those 2 items (farming materials to get furnace from cube)
Double post - deleted.
I would imagine it's because the SS Fury Cost Reduction affix on that weapon actually works against this build. The 2-piece set bonus from MoTE gives you CD reduction on Leap for every 30 Fury you spend, and you need that reduction to be able to Leap incessantly. SS costs 30 fury to cast, which takes one second off your leap cooldown every time you use it. If you're reducing that by ~50% you have to cast twice as many Slams to proc that CDR, leaving your Leap on cooldown longer, which has major implications for your damage and survivability.
I've played LeapQuake Barb throughout season 6 and started off with LeapQuake this season (7) aswell.
Then I saw this variant and I wanted to try it out. It's quite fun, but I really feel like this is way less powerful then the original variant.
I'm just more squishy and the Seismic Slam somehow does not compare with the Ancient Spear - Boulder Toss, and the combination with the amount of Avalanches I can pop out when using War Cry+Threatening Shout.
I really don't know how people say this build is more viable than the original variant, I must be doing something wrong then I guess?
You will also be losing loads of dmg from Blade of the Tribes. It is basically giving you free EQ and Avalance from shout + extra EQ %dmg.
Can anyone explain how to start grinding items for this set? Is the same skillset good enough to start grinding the items? Could use some help
This might not be the be-all-end-all for everyone but since we get the Wastes Set with the help of Haedrigs Gift I sacrificed all of my Death's Breath's until I got the Bul Kathos weapons and farmed on that.
To keep track I looked at this build - although obviously with the starting gear you won't do T13. Still got me to T9 and made the farming process a lot easier!
So good luck with that Nephalem! See you in the rifts.
Greets~~
Hello,
I love the build, its super fun to play. The only issue I am having is I die instantly on Grift 68 and don't know why.

My follower has unity and the 'No death' Relic. Because I have not gotten the band of might yet.
Is my gear just under what I feel it should be? Or is there some other underlying reason. Thanks for any responses I get in advance
Oathkeeper only works with Primary Skills. Seismic is a secondary
