Hey Foaks!
This is the rival of the shi mizu spec with Legacy of Nightmares!
Massive damage, easy gameplay, easy gearing, easy ranking!
Much stronger than the standard set-builds and the easiest way for high greater rift clears!
Sharp Shooter With the Companions is a bit tricky. When you enter the game, change the rune of your companions and they wont reset your SS passive anymore. your follower must not have ANY crit chance! Silly as it sounds, but he will reset your passive as well...
if you do that, you get a build that is extremely strong and tanky! enjoy it!

After my own calculations (if i didnt forget anything), the setup deals ~22% less dps than the top rank ShiMizu setup on trash, ~6% more on elites. It suffers on the boss a bit due to limited stricken stracks, but you might be able to pull ahead a bit with some nice pylons and additional elites.
here's the chart of my calcs, call me out if i forgot something (even tried a witching hour without IAS for the EoL setup. Its slightly stronger than Thundergods, but very hard to get)

Not quite sure what this mean. I know that Companion can crit and will reset the SS passive so I am slightly doubtful about using this passive skill. Not sure what you mean by changing the rune (to anything?) and the passive won't be reset by Companion crit. Is this a bug?
Great Build! Been running UE and surviving as DH player in general is pain in the a** lol. This one is definitely worth trying. One question though, what do you mean by "When you enter the game, change the rune of your companions and they wont reset your SS passive anymore", what if you are in GR and you won't be able to change the skills anymore.. A little more explanation on how to do this would be great.

Thank you for the guide! I was following the bnet thread but I'm glad someone wrote up an easy guide to follow. I had one question about going the defensive build.
If you were to go the defensive route, with Elusive Ring, do you think running a Unity would be more beneficial or less? You would have the 50% dmg reduction up at all times and wouldn't have to spend Discipline to achieve it. On top of that, Oculus Ring is useless on this build, leaving an open ring slot on your follower. Then because you aren't running Elusive Ring you could drop Shadow Power for Marked for Death with Valley of Death rune for a damage increase. I haven't crunched any numbers, so I have no idea how it would actually stack up. Any ideas if it would stack up or am I missing something obvious?
Unities also give up to 15% elite damage, which makes it a viable 'substitute' to the stone of jordan if one chooses to go the defensive route.
This 50% reduction from unity could open up the zoey + marauder set up (that gives 54% reduction with 6 pets) for a different armor option for example the 4 piece shadow for infinite gloom sustain and move speed, or blackthorn for 10% more elite damage. Not to mention this opens up an armor slot for either a Homing pads (65% reduction while channeling portal), String of ears ( 30% melee reduction),
Or, illusory/ Aquila. That way you open up another shadow set slot so thet you can get Andariel's visage (helmet) and roll lightning damage onto it.
I think this build would work a lot better if you replaced bola with marked for Death Vallewiy, u shower urself the toughness is through the roof, u don't need wraps too! Just replace wraps with nems and u don't need a generator so why not get tons of damage from valley of death. I think that would make this build a lot better bc toughness is never a problem even if u are going high with this build. But u can always use more damage
I wondered about this initially, but it seems that the bola's purpose is for stacking % damage using the bane of the stricken gem
omg help. I put the scoudrel skills to make a test and my crit dont stack more D: ... And idk how to remove skills of my followers. help me please
I don't quite have all the recommended affixes on all the gear but gave this a try. I'm having a bit of survivability issue on GR70 and not clearing mobs in one shot usually. Im paragon 780. What paragon level would you say is required for this to be viable to say GR80?
Hey, so, ah, why no Unity? That has 15% elite damage increase, and is basically a 50% dmg reduction when you put one of it on your follower as well, which means you won't have to pick between Stone of Jordan and Elusive Ring. Also, can Thundergod Belt's not crit?
Is there an s4 version of this or something more glassy for lower group gr's? My group is running 2 sup 2 dps, and I won't have to tank any mobs hopefully at all. I was thinking MoD and AoE rune instead of smoke screen and maybe a witching hour, but that's as far as I got. Any help would be great! A d3planner link would be VERY helpful

I just have a few questions. Doesnt vengence hit stuff all the time, meaning sharpshooter doesnt grow? Or cant vengence crit?
And why Bane of the stricken? I assume you dont attack the same mobs very often with this build, or? Or is it for the rank25 bonus?
