Hello !
This build is pretty decent and works like a charm in solo 45 with no set items for the achievement "The Thrill".
Build is based on fire dmg multishot like Unhallowed DH set.
Ive maked required parts on the item build that are absolute must. Others slots you can have whatever suits you the best.
There is alot of variations on skills and items.
I had pretty decent weapon and fire skill items so the rest didnt matter that much.
Just try out how this build works with your items and then just switch passives/skills/items according to what you are lacking.
Follower: I used templar for hatred regen and taunt.
How this works:
1. Spam multishot as much as possible
2. Tumble over packs to aoe with fire tumble dmg
3. Use marked of death all the time
4. Keep Vengeance and Wolf companion 100% uptime (Because of Obsidian ring of zodiac)
5. Evasive shot to regen hatred and proc dmg reduction
Legendary gems:
Bane of the Stricken is a must. I had 1 lvl Stricken but still best gem for this.
Bane of trapped big dmg increase because your multishot slows with Thrill of the hunt
Zei stone of Vengeance. I used this gem because I had high rank Zei, but not a must
You can use: Bane of the Powerful or Taeguk instead of Zei if u feel like that
and if you cant live you can consider Esoteric alteration.
Normal gems:
Helm: Diamond or Amethyst
Chest: Emerald
Legs: Emerald
Weapon: Emerald
Passives:
Leech for health regen
Awareness if you feel like you can die ( had no problem surving myself )
Archery for extra dmg
Steady aim for extra dmg
Rings:
You can switch rings around as long you have obsidian and convetion either cubed or equiped.
3rd ring doesnt matter, but just choose gem that fits u best. (lacking dmg ? -> Jordan need dmg reduce ? -> Ellusive )
I had Cull the weak Hellfire neck passive and I used Leech passive since I lacked recovery alot.
As a weapon I had 3,2k Yang recurve which helped alot
Decent build for The Thrill conquest achievement in season 5 for Demon hunter.
Thank you for the build. I was able to get Thrill using it.
Can't stress how much it helps to tumble over mobs. Also Yang's Recurve should be ancient. The extra DPS is needed.
Did it yesterday wth something really close to this. Nice build.
Good luck finding one though, let alone a well rolled one.
Managed to get through this with a SoJ in place of Obsidian, Leoric's helm in the cube, bait the trap in place of contagion and lightning ball bola. Worked very well for me. Had full uptime on Vengeance and got lucky with what mobs were given and 3 lucky shrine buffs though but all in all, I think I would have done fine even without the RNG.
Im new to Diablo 3 on PC so can someone tell me how it's possible to use these skills set with these keys??
Thanks for the guide,, got threw it, with one second to spare,,
I did it without Ancient Yang's Recurve.
Nice build!
why would you equip an obsidian ring and cube a convention. obsidian ring is a horrible ring equipped, it always rolls the same stats which are horrible. why not equip a really good convention of elements with CHC and CHD, and then cube the obsidian ring instead.
Thanks for the build.
My Yang's wasn't ancient but I had 65+ gems and almost everything else ancient.
Finished it with 4 minutes remaining.
Got it again with 3 minutes to spare
Thank you again, bro!
Having some trouble, could you take a look at my build? I know my cindercoat and amulet aren't ideal but i figure they're good enough. been getting lots of rifts where it just takes way too long to kill so i'm way behind, even with an ancient yang's. not sure where i'm going wrong.

thanks!
This spec worked nice for me! though i went without cinder equipped but i had it in cube. and i didnt use hunters wrath instead went with witching hour. SOJ and obsidian as rings. CoE in cube.
So thanks for guide!
Just want to thank you for an awesome guide for The Thrill conquest. Just did it following most of your advice (forgot to set my Vault rune to Trail of Embers though) and it worked great, finishing with 5 minutes 16 seconds remaining. I had been saving up some gear for this for a while and had some similar ideas but yours were better thought out than mine. i ended up using nemesis bracers however, if you use elusive ring and play smart you shouldn't need wraps of clarity and the extra elite packs can help save a lot of time. As for those who say you need an Ancient Yang's Recurve, I don't know if that is entirely necessary . It does help and I did have a good one, but given the leeway I had it should be doable with a well rolled normal one. The timer will be quite a bit tighter though. Anyway thanks again for the great guide, it helped out alot.
This is a good guide, nicely patterned after the Unhallowed Essence set. I would recommend a few changes, however.
Depth Diggers, Hunter's Wrath and Zodiac ring are useless, imo. By using Leoric's Crown (in cube or swap with Visage), if you have CDR on anything else (shoulders, gloves, quiver, ring), you will have 100% uptime on Vengeance/Seethe (37% CDR + Dawn in cube). This means you never need to regen hatred with Evasive Fire and you do not need to worry about CDR. This leaves room for Pox Faulds for legs, and more importantly, an Oculus ring in the cube (85% damage buff / 100% chance to proc on kill).
My gear was mediocre, with only 2 or 3 ancient items, but with these changes, I was able to clear with 2 minutes left. I forgot to swap in Bane of the Stricken, so I assume it would go faster for those who use one.
Thanks Buddy got it done.
Thank you for this build.I wasn't as immediately successful as others, but a lot of persistence and re-rolling paid off. Thank you!! For anyone still working on it, keep trying. Here are the additions/changes I made: No changes to skills or gems. Since I could not find or gamble a Witching Hour, I wore the Hunter's Wrath and cubed Leoric's Crown to keep Vengeance at 100% up time. I also rolled awful hellfires, so wore my Kymbos because it has 10% crit chance and 97% crit damage and I couldn't find anything to beat that. I was still short DPS (failing by 1-3 minutes) and finally solved that with a lucky drop (Ancient Dead Man's Legacy with +75% multishot damage) and by using the new cube recipe to add dex to three of my ancient items (weapon, chest armor, and ring). After 30+ fails, that those last changes did it- 4 minutes to spare!
yes, thank you, this was the build that finally did it. i finished the rift with 6 second to spare. your build is great, i only substituted one thing, zodiac cube for an oculus ring. Couldnt get a zodiac to drop and honestly had nothing better. Otherwise, used this guide to the T and it was spot on.
thank you so much!!! made this with 5 min 11 seconds to spare!! wasted tons of materials to get a witching hour, went with shash of knives in the end.
great guide great build. great job!
Thanks very much for putting this together.
I had most of the stuff lying around in the stash already and a few cube upgrades of rares filled it out. Tried a 40 and cleared it in like 4:00 so I knew 45 wasn't going to be hard, and it wasn't.
I roll Fire UE anyway, so very little adjustment to play style for me, and I already had a dope-ass ancient yang's, so my DPS was not an issue.
