-Belt of Transcendence + Starmetal Kukri: synergy in that Fetish Sycophants spawned will also reduce the cooldown of Big Bad Voodoo which allows you to take Fetish Army off your bars for Sacrifice with Black Blood. This gives you the ability to stun the Rift Guardian at times when needed.
-Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac: to reduce cooldowns, synergy with Rush of Essence/Haunt spam.
-Tiklandian Visage: is a must for every control build to let you spam Fear. Make sure it has a socket for more cooldown reduction.
-Pauldrons of Skeleton King: for more safety nets to save you from deaths.
-Xephirian Amulet: to let you stand in lightning packs.
-Blackthorne's: Chest, Legs, Boots, with Ring of Royal Grandeur to complete 4 piece bonus. Lets you stand in Molten explode. Try to pick up Dex/Str ones as the armor is much more valued from that stat. Make sure to reroll Elite damage Reduction on the chest.
-Homunculus: to give you unlimited dogs to explode and stun Rift Guardians.
-Strongarm Bracers: to buff your party with 20-30% increased damage.
-St. Archew's Gage: to give you more of a defense buffer against hard hitting elites/bosses.
-Molten Wildebeest + Esoteric: just for defense at high greater rifts.
-Gem of Efficacious Toxin: to give your party an extra 10% damage increase.
-Socket for Diamonds on Chest and Legs for Resist All.

-Core: You need movement speed at max 25% Sheet. Vitality afterwords for more defense.
-Offence: Cooldown Reduction for fear spam. Attack Speed to cast haunt faster.
-Defense: Armor over Resist since you always have plenty of resist from being an Intellect based class to buff your resist.
-Utility: Life on hit to heal up. Resource after since you'll have plenty of Mana from Rush of Essence Passive.
Build Guide
Most of this build is your average Support Witch Doctor build for high end 50+ Greater Rifts. The main difference is running Belt of Transcendence. By allowing you to spawn fetish from this belt instead of putting Fetish Army on your bars allows you to free up a slot on your bars for Sacrifice with Black Blood Rune to give you that Rift Guardian Lock Down. Fetish Sycophants will reduce the cooldown on your Big Bad Voodoo, the max 15 count helps in tanking adds and surrounding Electricity Affix for your party. Rush of Essence helps with your mana regeneration and allows you to never be starved of mana. It allows you to spam Haunt to keep your fetish count up, heal with life on hit, and reduce your cooldowns with Obsidian Ring of Zodiac.
Your stat Priorities on gear should be:
Socket>Cooldown Reduction>Vit>Armor>Life%>Dex/Str>ResistAll>LifeRegen*>Int>Attackspeed> LifeonHit>ResourceCostReduc
*Life Regeneration scales with Molten Wildebeest for bigger a shield buffer.
-Around 40% Cooldown Reduction is comfortable, although more is always better.
-The secondary stat on gear you want is Physical or Fire Resist and then Pickup Radius.
-Again you want Elite Damage Reduction on Chest.

Hey man been looking for a 2.2 zdps build and this looks like a good one Just a few question from a noobie
1. Would Yellow gems in gear be better since its adding all-res and adding a little bit to fettish/haunt dmg?
2. If i am spamming haunt to synergyze with Zodiac ring is creeping death the best passive to have or could i swap it for Physical attunment or jungle fort for more toughness
3. My SMK rolled 10%dmg, 901 Int, 37% CHD. I dont really want to do anything until i can gift it but should i be rolling that CHD into CDR?
Ty again for the build
It's more of a 0dps build, thats why you gear more for dex/str for that extra armor boost for those higher greater rifts, but I suppose if youre doing around 35-45gr an int build could bring some dps.
The Creeping Death passive is for Piranhas, to keep the 15% buff up on all targets for your party. Most of the time Piranhado wont hit all the targets, so you have to keep casting it.
Yes, CHD to CDR, the 10%dmg > 37%crit dmg. You want to aim around 40% cdr total, so you can actually reroll the CHD to 7%attackspeed if you can attain that cdr number, and again, that's if you want to go for a more dps oriented build.
Awesome gunna go fiddle with my gear, ill drop my armory once i get settled
Any weapon that would give some sort of support, In-Geom would help reduce your cooldowns to keep Big Bad Voodoo up, Azurewrath and Eun Jang Do would help freeze Rift Guardians.
Why obsidian ring.... Why not just get CDR on an ancient ring that has other defensive stats
@Morikay Hex will hit entire groups at a time versus only 3 targets from Zombie Dogs and does 20% increased damage versus 15%. Hex does work on Rift Guardian's that spawn adds, ie Perendi and the Rat King, although I'm not entirely sure if that is working as intended. The 15 fetish spawned from Belt of Transcendence should be enough to surround most groups. In any case the build free's up a slot, so if you need more reliable boss damage, I suppose going Zombie Dogs would help in that regard.
@Phantom1327 Obsidian Ring of Zodiac lets you run less Cooldown Reduction so that you can get more Defensive Stats on gear. It has synergy with Haunt and Rush of Essence passive since you're always spamming Haunt anyway. You can play comfortably with an 8 second Tiklandian Helm and around 40% Cooldown Reduction.
O cool didnt notice they changed the secondary im just so used to dis enchanting them
@nyane While yes indeed it does give you just enough to re-fear at 25% CDR, the extra CDR gives you more up-time on all your abilities, the major one being Piranhado. Piranhado gives you more control over mobs and proc your Strongarm Bracers, which last for 5 seconds. Often times you'll have mobs scattered or just out of reach, being able to Piranhado them over more frequently helps group them together which in turn adds to more DPS from AOE, Area Damage, etc. The Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac allows you to go with less CDR to achieve that same goal, in turn letting you gear for more defense.
@Shinna1989 I would have to agree with you. Re-edited the build. Thanks.
@appendizitis Yes Strongarms do buff your party in that it debuffs targeted mobs whenever you moved them with your Piranhado. They should also stack additively, in that more than one person can wear them and debuff the same target with their own knock-backs/grips/pulls/etc..
Whats the highest GRfit you have done with this build?
I looked at the build and it seems quite interresting, especially the exploding dog part I was wondering if you could insert a 2 peice jade harvester set bonus in there tho. Shoulder and gloves seems like the right spot since there's no mandatory gear there. It'll help quite a bit with the single target DPS, altough it'll also reduce your survivability in higher level of Grifts probably. you're already running the passives necessary to do some nice damage with haunt: creeping death and Spirit Vessel. What do you think?
I don't know if I'd agree. If you're running a T6 rift or a lower GRift, sure. High level Grift, a potential second cheat death passive as well as a big shield whenever you run into an elite pack sounds like a real winner.
Plus it's a zdps build. If you're coming here looking to do dps, you're looking at the wrong spec.
@Droews I don't think its possible to run this build with Last Breath, but if I had to choose I would drop Sacrifice for Mass Confusion and possibly drop Homunculus for a Storm Shield or Thing of the Deep.
@ arlee89 I've done a Greater Rift 57 in a 4 player group with this build so far, but my group and I still haven't tried to push far since it's still early in the season and we're still gearing up. This build can definitely take you to Greater Rift 60+.
@nyane Well the other defensive gems aren't worth it. You need Wildebeest to Regenerate your life and Esoteric to give you that resist against Fire Chains and Rift Guardian Mechanics. Mutilation guard would only come in handy on certain Rift Guardians that would teleport and melee you, ie Perendi and Skeleton King since you'll never be in melee and your fetish sycophants will be tanking the Rift Guardian. Elites and trash should never touch you since you're locking them down for the most part with fears. Moratorium might be Okay, but again, you wont be taking much physical/melee damage so Esoteric would still reign supreme in that aspect.
@zanjaizera You don't need Illusory Boots as a WD, Spirit Walk can get you through every situation and it should be up for every moment you're in need. There's really no way to run these unless you drop Belt of Transcendence or Xephirian Amulet. For the belt you'd have to put Fetish Army back on your bars and drop Sacrifice, not worth it at all. The Duncraig Cross for Xephirian could work but then you'd really have to watch out for electricity and let your pets block for you, risky at high Greater Rift levels.
I don't think Humonculous can roll Armor. =/ I tried the other night and it wasn't one of the stats it could get.
@CaityMarie Sorry about that, forgot to switch out the stat priorities when it used to be for a Storm Shield. There's a little question mark on the right hand side on the screen when you're re-rolling items, if you click that, it'll show you all the possible properties that item can re-roll.
