Taeguk is a better choice than Zei because you'll be straffing around large crowds of monsters with very little distance between them, so the Zei buff doesn't really factor that much.

Build Guide

Equip the full 6-set Gears of Dreadland set.

Adding the Buriza crowsbow gives 2 additional pierce. Since pierce is guaranteed now by the Ninth Satchel and each additional pierce is 70% increased damage, this means 2 more hits to the enemy that is 1.70 x 1.70. More hits also means more damage. Alternatively, people have been using Fortress Ballista for the absorb shield but this is not necessary with all the damage reduction you are getting with Shadow Power - Gloom (35% reduced damage) + Bladed Armor (40% increased armor) + Vengeance - Dark Heart (50% reduced damage) + Perfectionist (10% increased resistance) + socked diamonds in legs and armor.

Ninth Satchel is the best choice in the cube because of the instant 600% increased damage unless you have primal ancient in which case you can equip that and put Dawn in the cube instead. Though, a Dawn with 50% reduced cooldown is enough to keep your Vengeance active at all times. Using the Buriza with Drifting Shadow, I almost never run out of Hatred and am considering putting Aquila Cuirass instead of Depth Diggers for that reason. I use Depth Diggers in cube because I want more damage than defense.

Another choice instead of Buriza is K'mar Tenclip which grants the Drifting Shadow rune to Strafe. The reason we pick Drifting Shadow over other runes is the 100% increased movement speed, but if you want more damage, then Demolition is a better choice. If you pick demolition, swap Perfectionist for Grenadier for even more damage. Note however, that this consumes more Hatred. If you find yourself running out of Hatred, better to revert to the Buriza.

As for the builds with Entangling Shot and Odyssey's Bow, they are not maximizing damage. Those builds are better for group rather than solo. It's better to replace with another skill and weapon to optimize damage and defense. Also easier to focus on Strafe this way with your primary as Hungering Arrow without ever worrying about switching your primary to Entangling back and forth. Entangling Shot does nothing but slow your enemies.
