I don't know what I'm missing, but I have this exact build +- some minor stats here and there. I'm fairly close to the ideal stats but I only have 250mil toughness with all my buffs on. Using War Cry, Ignore Pain, and Wrath of the Berserker. My AR is over 1000+ so I feel like I'm just missing some multiplier.
unfortunately, the multiplier you are missing is strength. this is an endgame build, as in really high paragon.
wouldnt the "skull Grasp" ring be better then the CoE or even paired go better with CoE over osbsidian?
No, the damage comes from Rend, not Whirlwind.
You guys need to look at the in game leader boards to find the top builds, GR 132 is the top as of the time of this post this build is not one of them.
P.S.
Not even MODS.
I kind of disagree with the whole "if you are dying too often swap....".
Obviously it can work, but if you instead just go with Band of Might build (losing the COE dmg multiplier) you are simply better of. WW build isnt exactly a burst build. COE more or less does average increase (50% for barbarians).
If you swap that for BOM you lose that 1.5 dmg multiplier but you gain instead Falter and Berserker rage back (1.25x1.25), you can swap ignore pain to wrenching smash for grouping or furious for mobility and on top of that your toughness is even higher (BoM proc is 2.5 times less damage taken then IP) , so you can potentially swap bulkathos for istvan (a bit higher damage and even more toughness) and run Wind Shear, or swap sword to plowshares for into the fray.
Basically this is a very high paragon build, IF you die too often, instead of trying to force this build to work, go with Band of Might while working on paragons.
Also Id like to point out that Area damage for solo play is still very much an option. Before someone says "it doesnt work on Rend", it does - it doesnt work on AMBO applied rend, it does work on manually applied rends, and it absolutely obliterates high density packs. Lets be honest WW is a lazy build as is, and its not that hard to put few manual rends in while making sure taeguk or other stuff doesnt fall off. People do complain about lags, but i havent run into problems with lag in a SOLO play using it - also if you want to avoid lag you need to get rid of Area everywhere including paragons.
Im not saying its a must - it doesnt do much on Rift guardians or lower density stuff - so you can very well go without it - and maybe it just isnt worth it. Im simply saying i wouldnt completely rule it out just yet - not when people had like a month to play with Ambo so far.
Thanks, havnt played a WW barb since like the first 4 seasons so was a little confused.
Thank you for great guide ... like an always
