This spec works well even as solosupport, because it is tanky on its own, while being very mobile, giving defensive buffs to groupmembers + damage buffs + not to forget the ability to remove nasty affixes of elites and ranged projectiles. Mostly designed for Speedruns below grift 110 (depending on dd's gear ofc).

If you happen to run with a zbarb you can drop some defensive in order for more damage. Therefor some changes are needed:

  • drop the Storm armor and get Explosive Blast (Chain reaction)
  • Change passive Evocation to Conflagration
  • equip Orb of Infinite Depth instead of Etched Sigil
  • use any other ring you want for Halo

If you do that, make sure u have 8APoC and enough RCR.

As a result u end up with similar defensives but the group gains an additional 6% critchange due to Conflagration.

You want to have a decent amount of Ressource-Cost-Reduction (put a Topaz in headslot) and CDR. Also APoC on Offhand and Head are recommended,

Here are the Pro's of Support Wizards:


buffs from passive talents:

  • Cold blooded: enemies take 10% more damage from all sources
  • (Conflagration: 6% crit against enemies)

buffs from skills:

    • Slow Time (all runes)
      • 10% atkspeed
      • Enemies take 15% more damage

buffs from gems:

  • Efficacious Toxin: enemies take 10% more damage from all sources
  • Iceblink: 10% crit against enemies

buffs from gear:

  • Strongarm Bracers: enemies take 30% more dmg


buffs from gems:

  • Efficacious Toxin: enemies deal 10% less damage

buffs from skills:

    • Slow Time (all runes)
      • Enemy atkspeed -10%
      • Enemy dmg -25%
      • Allies dmg taken reduced by 30%
      • Projectiles slowed by 90%

Black Hole

      • removes projectiles
      • removes affixes from ground
      • (Many dont know that they already don't hit anymore when they are sucked towards the black hole, you might wanna mention that to your mates, cause they often dont know and are scared)

Additional benefits:

  • The Executioner finishes off any mob <10% hp
  • The Flavor of Time: double duration on pylons
  • Sleet Storm has a very high Proc-Coefficient!!! Good for keeping up (de)buffs, and gaining shields via deflection, and AP if AP-starved!



Playstyle is pretty straight forward, always remember to keep up a Slow Time. Try to be aware of nasty elite-affixes and where your teammates are positioned. Use Sleet Storm whenever you got time in order to put the Iceblink and Cold-Blooded debuff.
