Build Guide
Since the new 2.6.4 Patch and the many changes to set bonuses, I'm sure many players will be looking for a Seeker of Light build aka "Hammerdin". The set bonus was buffed from 2000% to 12000%. After some tests, this build is now superior to the standard Condemn build that everyone has adopted the past couple seasons. Hammerdin crits in the trillions.
This is a solo build and not meant for group play. Unity is needed for survivability for this build.
How to Play:
You want to lead with Falling Sword because that's where your burst damage comes from. You can do one of to things depending on density or if there are elites.
1. If there are no elites you can gather some trash mobs by circling around them so that they are centered. You want to jump right into the center with Falling Sword and channel Blessed Hammer while using your defensive buffs whenever they are up. I would save Akarat's Champion for elite packs.
2. If there is an Elite pack then just focus on the elite. Use Falling Sword right on top of the elite and channel Blessed Hammer. Pop Akarat's Champion + Provoke + Laws of Hope. Use Falling Sword every time is up.
If you're low on Wrath then use Justice to replenish your resource.
Rinse and Repeat.
I don't recommend trying to skip with this build if you're solo unless you're skipping with Falling Sword. This build decimates trash so it's better to gather them and kill them quickly rather than risking multiple deaths from trying to skip trash that you can easily kill.
Update: This build is actually viable with a zmonk to provide heals/damage mitigation while stationery. You would switch out Unity with CoE or Obsidian Ring depending on what's cubed. The key difference is you follow the zmonk and stack on the zmonk.
Why not equip Hammer Jammers, and then put a String of Ears in the cube slot instead? I feel like even with Unity, this struggles a bit with survivability, especially against enemies with Molten (I know it's not melee, but on top of that) because you gotta jump on top of them.
You are 100% correct. I made this build before S16 launch. I will update it to reflect the RoGR buff.
If you would want to do this build but with friends that don't use unity what other ring should i use?
You have the options of Obsidian Ring or CoE depending on what you cube. With this build you can actually go with Focus/Restraint and use an Hellfire Ammy for groups. It's very flexible because your main purpose in groups is to kill trash supporting an RGK such as a DH or possibly a Necro.
