Build Guide

This is the Season 1 Firebird build I used to use, and probably many people used, before the mechanics of Firebird was changed. I wanted to try it out again, it still works pretty well, but by no means is the best or will push GR or anything, it's simply for fun. Idea is to set up Hydra turrets, Apocalypse cast, teleport on cooldown, and Blazar on cooldown. Ignite on magic weapon will help ignite enemies, too (apparently this doesn't work, neither does Sparkflint, so I have changed the build to use Flame Blades instead, swapped furnace for fragment of destiny, and belt can now be shame of delsere). This build works best with high cooldown ~50%, and some resource reduction helps too if you spam like I do (but keep in mind only one Apocalypse cast per area is all that's required). Hexing pants can be used instead of Magefist if you prefer, I don't like the downside to it though with this build, even though you mostly just run around and let your Hydras, Apocalypse, and Blazars do the work. Your teleport fractures will cast hydras, apocalypse, and blazars too, which looks awesome (doesn't do too much though) and they do help with crowd control.

Edit: 8/31/18 Okay I think I've got it, this is about the best that can be done now to emulate what a season 1 firebird was like. Explosive blast combination and swapping Firebird offhand to Infinite depth and Magefist to Firebird to keep the 6 piece bonus, were the missing elements to get the build to work. Enjoy

If you are looking for a fun, cool build with style points, this is one to try! It's truly a throwback to Season 1 days, modified to fit current times (halo of karini + traveler's set, before would be Hellfire amulet and Stone of Jordan/Ring of Grandeur as there was no cube back then). Enjoy!
