We also see Tyrael, whose presence and role are still unknown, is seen in the video. We know that the Angiris Council and angels will have a much bigger role in Diablo III but it is unknown just what role they will play in Sanctuary. However, in the boss windows we have seen, Imperius who is known to be against man's existence, appears to play a major role in the game.
As far as demons, there was not a whole lot of specifics. Of course, we see Diablo at the end of the cinematic. We also get a glimpse of what could be Rakanoth who appears as one of the boos windows.
Finally, at the end of the cinematic, we see Deckard Cain and Leah in Tristram Cathedral. Oddly, there is a giant stained glass window that depicts Imperius fighting a horde of demons. In fact, this same image is present in the Book of Cain. The image us odd given that Imperius is against mankind yet is depicted in the Cathedral. Is there a possible hint of foreshadowing as the mysterious comet crashes through the very image of Imperius?
Reword it w/o spoilers thanks...
I don't want to leave this community but I guess if enough people migrated to another fan site it might enough to make them take notice?
ADMINS: Please do your community a favor and add spoiler tags, it's not going to hurt anyone by doing so.
Why do you think Imperius is the one in the image? From what I know Imperius wouldn’t involve himself with the humans. Why would there be his image in a cathedral?
Unless there is some information in the Book of Cain I say the archangel in the image should be Inarius the one that founded The Cathedral of Light.
They know the stained glass is Imperius because he's the only one with exactly that sword and halo.
Really?! I don't think that's possible.
Yeah, who would've thought an article titled 'A Look Into The Opening Cinematic' would literally be a look into the opening cinematic... sheesh
He spoiled a lot actually.
No where in the cinematic was there anything to hint to us that one particular character in the cinematic may be a certain Mr X in the game, which was information gotten from cross referencing minute details from the (very fresh) book of Cain... That there is acceptable to those who aren't overly excitable/liberal; but to then tell us that Mr X is a boss in the game, information which was derived from the spoiler warning enshrined post about in-game bosses icons, obtained via datamining... The line was blatantly crossed to even the most conservative of us.
edit - I use conservative/liberal in the terms of statistical perspectives of evidence->conclusions, so it may seem backwards.
yeh i get your point, I apologise too
Adding spoiler tags is almost a redundant effort. Technically speaking, everything posted can be seen as a spoiler but somebody. I retain the idea that if you are visiting a fan site for the game, then you are okay knowing about the game. Thousands are, only a few are not.. Adding a Spoiler tag really does nothing.
Sorry to any of those who think this post had any kind of spoiler and ruined the game for them.
