posted a message on Which Class Easiest to hardest?

At the end You will be playing the class You more enjoy. Not the hardest one...

Every class ends pushing higher GRs with its own mechanics, high GRs are difficult in many aspects, every class is strong against some aspects, and weak against other ones.

Just think "how do i want to kill mobs?":

    - from 5 kilometers away? DH

    - Spamming fire, cold, lightning sh*t? wiz

    - feeding my dogs? wd

    - hitting them like Pacquiao did vs Floyd? BARB/Monk

    - shield bashing? crus

Or a sever version with 5+ quadrillion crit (on top of a regular 160B):

    http://i.imgur.com/bibWOtb.jpg

how does sever come into play with this build?

Server's legendary affix make that number appear. But It's false, the "slain in pieces your enemies" forces the LAST HIT to that number... So You won't spam quadrillon meteors everywhere ;)

Yes, I refer to Convention of Elements...

Anyway in every picture Power Pylon is up; show me a video completing a GR50+ with this build and I will thumb up.

I think promoting your build based on false damage to attract people is... low?...

posted a message on Most efficient way to Farm for the SS question

Cross out "Farm GR 50+" from the list. Everyone spend too much time doing a 50+ GR, there is no benefit in time spent/loot relation.

Im looking for an ancient SS too, I farm 42 GRs with my group (3 dhs/my wiz or 2 dhs/2 wiz), or T6 rifts solo. I found this was the fastest method of farming.

posted a message on Rate my WD - Suggestions Welcome

Mmhh, I think You should look for a HF Amulet, then use Fetish Sycophants and get a Wtich Hour... Both IAS and CHD are BiS for the build.

Now, if You don't want to change to DoD, You need to find an ancient SMK, You are losing lot of dps there.

Find a CC/CHD/Socket/IAS or Int Zuni's Pox... You MUST have high CC for pets, even 23 fetishes take so long to kill elites / RG without high CC...

Switch Molten to Pain Enhancer, or BotP.

    To sum up:

    - Ancient SMK

    - HellFire Amulet and WH.

    - CHC in 1 of the rings.

    - Molten out, PH / BotP in.

Not tested yet, but I was thinking about run Frozen Piranhas with Iceblink... Give it a try and tell me if you want.

posted a message on What to reroll on Ancient Balefire Caster for fire Multishot build

How to calculate the %dmg if applied:

    Big dps*1.NUM% NUM = 6,7,8,9,10.

Example: This Balefire's dps if You roll 10% dmg:

    2795.2 * 1.10 = 3074,72

If You already have %dmg rolled (let's say 6%, and wanna know how It would be if you roll 10%):

big dps * 1.10/1.06 (multiplying by 1.WISHED%, dividing by 1.ACTUAL%)

posted a message on I'm new, I have some questions!

The best difficulty to play is the one You kill fast and don't die.

The more enemies you kill, the more legens will drop. One option is to do bounties and when you reach 70, you can do lots of rifts.

Read lot of topics about DH to understand what you look for and that's it.

Doing all Act 1 bounties shouldn't take you more than 10/15 minutes, so keep it in mind when setting the right difficulty.

To sum up, the idea of turnig them into a better option is good, the idea of buffing them is wrong.

How would you accomplish this? If by 'buffing them' you mean simply tuning their damage upwards, then I am in complete agreement. Are you saying though, that they shouldn't provide non-dps utility either? If so, then in your opinion, how would you make them better?

I'm trying to say that there is no need of legendary affixes on them. They can simply generate more resource (one way of buffing them), they can have a defense effect on us (creating shields, etc), or they can have their damage buffed. I'm not happy with this last option, because You can have really much more damage from other skills, and right now that's what is happening.

Primaries are not covering anything, They don't deal too much dmg, They don't generate the resource builds need, They don't give anything more than wasting time casting them.

Make them useful for one of these specs and that's it. No need of more power for us such as IAS, more power, etc (looking at monk's idea You threw).

You realize we have 23 fetishes with huge st (but no aoe)? The dagger is much stronger than the bracers. Look at the leaderboards, wds would be pushing 48 in broken jade if it wasnt for a single slot item.

Barbs are pushing 53+ right now. ALl of them running Insanity rune for dmg. Think about they having damage mitigation from other runes. Have you tried barb? They have good life regen from WW, combine it with 50% less dmg, give them a PURE DPS gear to them and They would not die anymore.

edit: What happens to WDs if DoD is removed? As You said, They go back to 48s, becoming nothing in compare to other classes.

Have You tried 2.2 wiz? We push as high as DHs in GRs... The difference is that DH's one/two shot enemies in GRs with a click, whereas wizards have to wait 1.5 seconds to the arriving of meteors.

And gearing a DH or a wiz is the same; 6pc bonuses, 3 legendary gems, the rest are upgrades which You find while playing; and a decent Kridershot (dhs) or an ancient Serpent Sparker (wiz)...

I do agree with You about WD's. I have mained WD's since ROS came out, after HOURS of not founding a F**KING SMK, I changed to Wiz in S2 (still Firebird) ---> Here I found a SMK before having Firebird 6PC (REAL).

But, I think the struggle is here: To succed in really high levels You need:

    - High AOE Damage

    - CC

    - Distance from mobs or REALLY HIGH CC to stand near them without being touched many times

    - F**k toughness, One hit and You are dead. So no hits.

    - Good resource independence (good regeneration if You have to spend it).

    - Good gear ofc.

    Considering those things:

    - DH covers it all.

    - Wizards now cover it all with Tal Rasha.

    - Barbs cover it all with 6WW & 4IK

    - Not sure about Monks' style but I see them pushing higher so I guess they cover it.

    - WDs lack of AOE Damage as You said.

    - Saders lack of Resource independence AND distance from mobs (fixed with Phalanxs but not as reliable as other classes' builds).

So this is my opinion, hug.

really insightful, and neat conclusion. I am going to try Wiz, don't want to miss out one of the best class ^^.

off topic, that 1.5 sec delay will give you trouble facing reflect damage, is that right?

Mmhh, based in my experience, worst enemies are:

    - range-attack enemies (archers, exorcists, Lacunis stalker (DAMN I HATE THEM), etc).

    - Reflex, thunderstorm, vortex elites.

To avoid damage from those mobs I strongly reccomend you to move so they don't hit you, you CAN'T resist them (3 arrows = dead; 1 anarch = dead). For example, move aside when You see an Anarch "charging" its dash, same with Corrupted Angels, Lacunis that throw bombs, etc. Then when they land, kill them.

Fancing elites, be careful with Reflex (wait those 3-5 secs), avoid Thunderstorm (first hit is certain, then move out of that zone), and always, but always, fight the furthest you can (superlative of "far", idk if i put it good, english is not my native language, sorry about that). A high distance from the mobs gives you more power (zei's), more time to avoid attacks AND vortex doesn't affect you if You are quite far from the elite.

Why vortex is dangerous? You receive damage when pulled back, and elites may hit you really fast when You land, not giving you enugh time to move out (worst if they have electrified/molten/ground effects that damage you).

posted a message on Primary Skills Rework - Synergies With Spenders

I agree with You up to a point.

My impression is that You are trying to make primary skills NEEDED, when They should be an option. I mean, prymary skills should give that feeling of "i can rely on this skill", not the idea of "i have to use it".

I don't think giving them legendary effects (why legendaries?) is an option, because the answer would be "why the other skills doesn't have an extra effect? Why my fire skills don't have a burning effect on enemies?".

They should cover one of the main points a nice build must have. For example:

A good build needs: output damage, defensive skills, skills that buffs us, extra effects one enemies or us (like passives do), movility, resource generation, etc...

Now, primary skills should be the answer to one of the previus specs.

    - In DHs, Evasive Fire is used because of the resource generation, why would them need a legendary affix???

    - Wizards use 2 of them.

    - Monks use them

    - WDs use them when playing toads.

    - Saders don't

    - Barbs do and don't.

To sum up, the idea of turnig them into a better option is good, the idea of buffing them is wrong.

posted a message on How do I optimize my firebird set

    - Ancient Devastator with Firebird's Eye (Int/CC/CDR)

Or A decent (or Ancient) Furnarce.

    - Amulet with CC/CHD/Socket/Fire Dmg or CC/CHD/Socket/Int

    - Hydra dmg on Shoulders

    - A decent helm (Firebird or Leoric's Crown with Int, Vit, Socket and CC) If You run Leoric's You'll have to replace Magefist with Firebirds.

    - Stone of Jordan with Fire/CHD/Socket/Elite or Fire/CC/Socket/Elite OR Fire/Int/socket/elite.

Due to farm a nice SOJ may be difficult, You can run Unity (CD/CC/Socket/elite dmg) and equip your follower with another one to gain 50% mitigation.

Wait a few days Season 2 ends so You can farm Halo of Arlyse (int/cc/cd/socket)

    - Get a The Witching Hour.

Have a look at my wiz to get an idea of how to equip:
