posted a message on How to make Diablo 3 better

As much as I want to throw a mouse when lightning starts melting my sader or fire chains insta-splats my barb or my monk has to run away and wait for Ghom... what if we could just stand in them? What would be the challenge then? How do you threaten ranged then? If there is zero risk of failure, most people would burn out/lose interest in a few hours.

posted a message on 1 Gift Ancient Schaefers vs Non-Ancient Furnace

Hammer will kill trash faster. Furnace will kill elites faster. If you have 20% lightning on neck, then here is what the hammer does...

    100 x 20% = 120

    100 x 43% = 143

143/120 = 1.19. That 23% is actually only increasing your dps by 19% because it is additive with the 20% on neck.

    19% + the 17% from the tooltip is 36%.

VS 43% against elites with furnace.

    Furnace = Higher damage

    Torch = Better spirit efficiency

Furnace is more often used with LTK fire builds

    WOL needs torch for spirit

posted a message on Crusader season 2 build chioces?

    1. Condemn

Pro - I enjoy the playstyle. Not too spammy. You constantly spam condemn. You have to hit AC every 20 sec. The rest is reactional only.

    Con - Slow on RG

    2. Pony

Pro - Safer due to persistent knockback

Con - Slightly more spammy as you will need to generate wrath on cd for usually 2 abilities, e.g. provoke and Law on top of AC and ponies. Most sensitive to positioning

    3. Bowmen - not sure the build you are referring to. The only bowmen build I can recall is using Roland's for attack speed. If that's the one, then Roland's is currently much squishier.

    4. Cap

Pro - easier to gear, maybe you enjoy the playstyle

Con - Not very viable past T6/RG25

    5. Support/zDPS

Pro - capable of the highest grifts. Much of the gear is crafted

Con - have to be in a group. Highest learning curve

"the new ring of the zodiac allows for faster CD for skills"

This ring has always been very poorly itemized. To use it, you are giving up Unity/SOJ or RoRG, reducing defense/damage.

Perma AC we already have. Perma Iron-skin is ok. Perma-laws sounds RSI inducing. The question, I suppose, becomes one of if Iron Skin/Law is worth more than the ring slot, which I suspect it is, AND if such a spammy style is personally playable, which, for me, is unappealing. This would mean never letting three skills drop off instead of just one; one 20 seconds, one 7 seconds and one 5 seconds. It still sounds like it is quite locked in on specific pieces, too.

Roland's suffers defensively, regardless how comparable it may be offensively.

posted a message on Other class sets

With Crusader being a set behind and Roland's so under-performing Akkhan's, I'm kinda surprised crusader isn't one of the ones getting attention. I totally understand Wizard getting attention too, with Firebird's being the only option and so far behind other classes. I also realize that Crusader has 3 "styles" between zDPS, condemn and Pony, so don't take this as a sader whine, I'm not saying sader is not in a decent spot. I'm just saying that pony and condemn share 80% of their pieces and have little wiggle room at all in what they wear, so a new set would be very welcome.

I find that flipping corpses, etc, tends to drop more blues than yellows, IF it drops anything, so when I need Dust, I click all of them I encounter as well.

zDPS crusader gives great buffs and is probably the best at grouping

zDPS SMK/Tiklandian WD is best at neutralizing affixes

posted a message on New Sets - New Inventory Management?

    Currently...

    Non-season

    1 of each class = 6

    1 mule for each primary = 3

Leaves 6 for season, so I am not playing Int classes

    Season

    Barb

    Crusader

    Monk

    DH

    Str Mule

    Dex Mule

I put all class specific gear on that toon. All ambiguous gear on the mules of that primary.

Stash Top - Empty for dumping current toon's inventory during runs 2nd - Stash during runs 3rd - class or mule overflow or empty 4th - Leg gems, follower gear, etc Bottom - Gems, mats, (g)rift keys, uber keys/organs

Only the last three look like they could make it into end game use. I suspect the others are xmog fodder or make-do until your preferred item drops at best.

posted a message on Questions regarding Pain Enhancer and Gem of Efficacious Toxin

Yes, they work together. Many of Meathead Miquel's builds use this combo. As to proc rates, that is dependent on the specific skills. I'm pretty sure they do not proc eachother, however, because most dots average their damage and don't actually crit.

posted a message on I think I somewhere screwed up:(

If your armor is only 4562, then, honestly, your gear is still very low level. If a significant part of those 200 paragon have been spent on this toon, you are likely doing something wrong. My gear is in no way ideal, but only adding up the base armor on gear, I have 4,639 base armor from gear alone. I just checked and level 70 yellow gear has the same armor ranges as the legendary gear for base armor.

That's not even counting 77 base strength and 154 base dexterity from being level 70. That's not counting bonus armor on some gear. That's not counting any dexterity on gear or paragon points.

The only thing I can assume is you are still wearing a significant amount of sub-70 gear. If that's the case, don't worry so much about these numbers, you just need to get better gear, period. This will look much better with ANY level 70 gear and even better in entry level legendaries. Trying to fine tune it now is wasting time, gold and mats.
