Is it even worth it to change from my equipped firebirds, show below, to one with 17% fire, 9.5% crit, and 8% elite damage, should I be able to eventually roll it? Hate to lose the Vitality.

My first thought is to complete to remove Meteor for Teleport; you'll find it is immensely helpful. Otherwise, you're pieces are mostly sub-par, and you'll find better ones as you grind. Conflag is a pretty poor passive, except in group play. Illusionist is mandatory for Soloing.

Best is probably Demon Hunter at the moment.

That said of the ones you were interested in Wizard is probably the strongest
    Right.

and I'd argue second only to DH overall.

Wrong. Monks and WDs are both stronger then Wizards.

Finally broke through and finished tier 41 today with a serpent sparker and blazing hydra. Tried 42 for the first time and was pretty overwhelmed. Gonna need some more practice and good RNG to finish that one. Not really sure what else I can do gear wise except get some good T&T and level them paragons. Found two T&Ts but both were trash unfortunately.

Kind of feel like I've peaked, but I am going to keep pushing.
Once you hit 39, 40, and higher RNG is the major issue. Exarchs, Winged assassins, Density, hostile map...completion is almost all RNG.

I think they should do to GRs what they did to Trials. Divide the mobs into groups, populate the rift levels with different mixes of mobs, remove traps AND Shrines, and probably buff density across the board. That's what needs to be done.

    25% from Leoric's 100 sec - 25% = 75 sec
    20% from passive 75 sec - 20% = 60 sec
    10% from paragons 60 sec - 10% = 54 sec
    10% from Born's set 54 sec - 10% = 48.6 sec
    8% from shoulders 48.6 sec - 8% = 44.7 sec
    8% from ring#1 44.7 sec - 8% = 41.1 sec
    8% from ring#2 41.1 sec - 8% = 37.8 sec
    8% from Vigilante 37.8 sec - 8% = 34.8 sec
    10% from Weapon 34.8 - 10% = 31.3 sec

    31.3 seccd - 20 secduration = 11.3 sec downtime

I didn't include amulet because I'm not willing to trade 100% crit damage, 20% elemental damage, 10% crit, a socket or 750 int for 8% cdr.
You can change Vigilante to Capt. crimson if you use Born's weapon. You can use the 15% cdr gem and you can get 8% cdr from your amulet and you'll get this:

    25% from Leoric's 100 sec - 25% = 75 sec
    20% from passive 75 sec - 20% = 60 sec
    10% from paragons 60 sec - 10% = 54 sec
    10% from Born's set 54 sec - 10% = 48.6 sec
    8% from shoulders 48.6 sec - 8% = 44.7 sec
    8% from ring#1 44.7 sec - 8% = 41.1 sec
    8% from ring#2 41.1 sec - 8% = 37.8 sec
    10% from Cpt Crimson 37.8 sec - 10% = 34 sec
    10% from Weapon 34 sec - 10% = 30.6 sec
    15% from gem 30.6 sec - 15% = 26 sec
    8% from amulet 26 sec - 8% = 23.9 sec

    23.9 seccd - 20 secduration = 3.9 sec downtime

With 8% CDR on source you can get down to 2 seconds downtime. I don't think it's worth it to trade obscene ammounts of damage from amulet and gem to take a few scrap seconds off the cd. CDR is such a bad stat, when it's stacked.
For T6 it is worth it. Once I put this together with the correct gear, you'll be clearing (arguably) faster than firebirds on t6 due to perma-teleport without having to swap to aether walker. In grifts you wouldn't be using this build.

Not sure that's true, but have at it. Personally, I think Archon's beam attack needs to be WAY buffed. It's Ironic all the channelled spells are now stronger then Archon.

There is no question about it in my mind. 100% the cold damage one. In higher grifts being immune to frozen would be invaluable
Damn right. Easily the best elemental immunity. Run Force Armor for Lightning and you're a god.

You didn't roll fire or a socket. I'd just stash it till Cold becomes viable. You may be waiting awhile.

Ugh. Right you are. I was adding Sparkflint or Magic Weapon in there or something. Yeah. The hell with it. 10% EE or nothing.

Just go for the regular 10% with fire spells / Cold weapon, the only thing i can think about is switching enchanted weapon to the Aoe Arcane Familiar.
I have come to the same conclusion. It may be beneficial to switch Force Weapon 20% DPS + 10% EE to Cannoneer (+ 15% EE + 240% Arcane damage, but Cannoneer requires you to be much closer then I'd like.)

Stack up as much elite dmg as you can, it helps stack it faster. I think it's almost imposible to stack full dot (9000%dmg) within 5seconds if you don't have elite dmg on gear.
Fire damage, Elite damage both are good. Fire damage actually works a bit better (works on trash, too) But Elite damage is multiplicative, and doesn't "DR" like Fire damage % does; So the majority of wizards prefer Elite damage.
Fire% dmg on the other hand both increases the damage you deal, but also the required amount of damage to trigger the infinite dot.
Are you sure this is so? I've never heard this before now.

The value of +%elemental damage is dependant upon the amount you are already running, however a general rule of thumb would be:

    Amulet: Socket/Ele/CHC/CHD

Ring1: SoJ with Socket/Ele/CHC or CHD

Ring2: Untiy as above or 5 affix ring with Socket/Ele/CHC/CHD/Int
Cept..They dont exist ;-) You can, however, score CDR/Movement Speed/Vit here, though.

    Hi there,

as far as I know blackhole in connection with strongarm bracers doesn't work on Rift Guardians - because they simply aren't knockbacked. You should try it on elite packs.

You have to physically move the mob for Strongarms to trigger, too; Just casting it directly on the mob does nothing. It's why Black Hole is VERY commonly on right click.

alright, another question, what about amu and rings, what stats should i aim on that ? is +20% fire dmg beter then intt/cc/chd ?
your ideal amulet would be fire %. socket, CC, CHD. As too WHICH amulet, anything you can roll those stats on. Hellfire amulets and immunity amulets are highly sought after.

Rings, Stone of Jordan (+20% Fire, 30% elite, 50% CHD OR 500 int, and socketed), the other ring is usually Unity for soloing...it's still really good in groups with the 15% elite damage, 5 CC, and 500 int/50 CHD.
