Diablo 3 is not for chickens. If you die, you die. The End.
Except you can only die to monsters, any deaths to players are null and the player is a big bag meanie!

I love how all of you guys are talking about hardcore like you are hardcore, yet whine and complain about PK and hostility ha.

I don't think there should be any easier method implemented for HC characters, maybe Leoric is the only boss that traps you, in which case not a big deal. I doubt they will make every boss a Duriel moment where you have a great chance of being suprised and wrecked especially since you should know the game before playing HC.

yet PvP is somehow ok with 6+? Makes little sense, yea it can get chaotic, but it is no way unmanageable.

First, PvP is OK with maximum 4 vs 4 (not 6+ each team) because all you care about is the players, no mobs. You know who you fighting, where they come from, don't have to find them in a bunch of aurora effect. Besides, Number 4 is more of a strategical constraint to encouraging team work.

Second, you seem to assume "no way unmanageable" quite lightly. And you know, ASSume is making an "ASS" out of "u", and an ass out of "me"...

    Peace.
Well considering I said 6+ in game and not 6+vs6+, you are ASSuming what I said, making an ASS outta yourself buddy.

Also you are telling me adding 1 more person to get a full cast would make it so unmanageable and unplayable but 4 won't? Yea you have to account for the mobs and the auras, but let's look at it this way: Are the monsters spamming spells like players? Youll see more chaotic shit happen in a 4v4(Better for you buddy?) then you would in a 4 player co-op match against biggest mobs in game I guarantee that.

Unless these monsters are spell slinging animation hogging special effect masters, it won't be unmanageable.

With more than 4 People you Would feel less important to the group as things Would die to fast, or you Would get 1-shot
Well 4 people makes you feel less important compared to 3, as things die faster with 4 over 3. Same logic can be applied to any number. Their only reason for making it 4 over anything else was cause everything else was chaotic, which to that I say 5 is not much more chaotic then 4.

Horde mode would be great, however according to Blizzard and many of the people on this board you would have to limit the characters to 4 per game. Anything more and it would be impossible to manage and to chaotic for their brains.

If they were to put it in though, it should be either an unlimited tower or a very tall one. With boss fights inbetween and have everything get gradually harder. Maybe add a store option to buy health globes or buffs, ect. Last level if there was 1 should be like every boss on inferno and mobs.

Id prefer 5-6 TBH. That way every class can be represented and well people with more then 3 friends can actually play together. Now I have to splinter who I play with because they feel the game gets to chaotic, yet PvP is somehow ok with 6+? Makes little sense, yea it can get chaotic, but it is no way unmanageable.

Oh dear this is going to be a huge grind just like old lineage :(
I doubt it will be half as bad as Lineage. Maybe in Asia it will because they like to grind, but they will curve the XP in America most likely. Also given fact you fight multiple guys at once so Xp shouldn't be that difficult, unlike L2 where 3v1 was considered a big fight unless doing a war.

People don't realize how hard its going to be lol.
Cause you have first hand experience with the higher difficulties right? Cause there won't be a worlds first HC run through and it is impossible for this guy to do that right?
Im sure the game will be difficult at the later stages, but don't be so blind to think it is unbeatable even early on.

posted a message on Kick System: what do we think of it?
In GW if I remember correctly, if someone in your team killed the boss or finished the mission and you still had items on the floor, it would make that secondary inventory and be like "Hey look at this, you forgot it...you want it?" Obviously much more loot drops for Diablo, so maybe have a filter to only show blues and up for a set radius or something.

What about 50 levels higher then them?
I think a kick system should be in place, that way if someone gets mouthy you can get rid of em, kinda like in Diablo 2 with hostility.

As far as drops go when kicked, could make all drops in radius of you teleport to a secondary inventory when you join a new game it pops up like in GW and asks if you want to keep any of it.

    Quote from Sylvain

Well, Adon is kinda confused about who did what. The guys who did Guild Wars were the one behind battle.net mostly, with a hand in Starcraft and Diablo.

    But yeah, can't wait for D3 to be released and be a big hit. Some guys can't stop trolling and being doomsayers... or they just can't think for themself and take a look at what the game provide ^^;
Actually all 3 of the members were senior programmers.
"Mike O'Brien is one of the three co-founders and current president of ArenaNet and the leader of the Design and Content teams for Guild Wars.[1]Previously, he worked as a company director and a lead programmer at Blizzard Entertainment where he developed the 3D rendering engine of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and led the development of Battle.net. He also worked on Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, Diablo and StarCraft, where he, among other things, designed and created the MPQ archives used in all Blizzard games after Diablo"

"Patrick Wyatt is a game programmer and one of the three co-founders of ArenaNet.[1] He is the leader of the Network and Technology teams and a programmer for Guild Wars. Before the founding of ArenaNet, he was working in Blizzard Entertainment where he was the Vice President of Research and Development and a senior programmer. Wyatt was the leader of Battle.net gaming network's programming and a major contributor on the multiplayer parts of Blizzard's popular games including StarCraft, Diablo and Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness.[1] Having been in Blizzard for more than eight years, his work also includes earlier Blizzard games like Lost Vikings and Rock N' Roll Racing."

    - This guy worked mostly on the battle.net yes, are you trying to imply that Bnet didn't have an impact on Diablo and that Jay Wilson doesn't do anything with Bnet?

"Jeff Strain is a game programmer and one of the three founders of ArenaNet. He served ArenaNet and NCsoft as the leader of the Art and Production teams and President of Product Development respectively. He was previously the lead programmer of Blizzard'sMMORPGWorld of Warcraft; he also created the StarCraft campaign editor and worked on Diablo and Warcraft III. He is credited as a programmer and executive producer for Guild Wars."

    - Looks like he did a little more then just Bnet....

    Now here is Jays resume:
    • 1998 - King's Quest: Mask of Eternity - Quality Assurance
    • 1998 - Blood II: The Chosen - Game Concept and Lead Designer
    • 2003 - Impossible Creatures - Lead Designer and Story
    • 2003 - Homeworld 2 - Additional Design Support
    • 2004 - Warhammer 40k Dawn of War - Design and Story
    • 2007 - Company of Heroes - Senior Designer
A decent cast of games, nothing that sticks out as great however. I know company of heroes is loved and played and so is Warhammer but they pale to SC I feel. My point being is he doesn't have any Blizzard calibur games under his belt, where as those 3 above have Diablo, SC, WC, and GW.

Also made Guild Wars, which to my knowledge trumps anything Jay Wilson has ever made, he really should thank the gods he got this position, his resume doesn't warrant it for sure.

Doubt it, unless it took control of the players character and I highly doubt that will happen. These skills will be useless, in PvP and probably in PvM just like before. Fun to toy with but in long run good players will drop them for more damaging skills.

I can spew blind ignorant stuff too. Game is PvE based yes, that is not the question. The question is: Is there a right and a wrong way to play? You play differently then me, who is wrong? Answer is no one.
