Lol thats just bad. I hope blizzard will remove it, because it will be mandetory for everyone. Gg

PTR patch notes today said that you will need more rift progress to complete a rift. That plus the eventual changes to RGs having less life will make it so killing non-elites will actually matter.

Then again, I am sounding like a Blizzard fanboy with rainbows in his eyes. Furnace will probably be the best choice for a lot of builds. Shard of Hatred is nice, but not that nice.

    noob question...

    how does the cube work???

You put inside the furnace or the for example ik boulder in order to have furnaces attributes into ik?

also almost the same question but with rings...if we put unitys power to rorg ring then will we benefit from the unitys attribute with the 50% damage reduction even thow we do not wear "excactly" the ring?

No. You extract an items power (the item is lost in the process) and you equip that power like a passive skill into a specific slot. You have 3 slots: weapons, armor and jewelery.

I would equip: 6 Piece Wrath of the Wastes - BK Swords - Focus/Restraint - Mara's Kaleidoscope - Lacuni Prowlers - Pride of Cassius.

And then I'd cube: Furnace - Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac - Hexing Pants of Mr. Yan

Exactly what I was thinking. Which passives would you use with that setup?

Nice thread. Just wanted to add my thoughts and excitement for this patch! And the changes seem quite favorable to WW barb, mainly the reduced health of RG and the possibility of a single target damage boosting gem. As we all know single target damage is the big bane of WW barb build.

    Cube effects:

Weapon slot - There shouldnt be much other choice than cubing 50% elite damage furnace. And equipping IK 2h mace.

Jewellery - Ill be cubing Convention of elements for 200% element damage proc. And equipping rorg/unity.

armor - This will require some testing, but cubing pride of cassius for 6sec on ignore pain. Will also try the hexing pants damage.

This is what my build/gear set up will look like in perfect gear. (has 2.3 and cube effects functionality)

    http://www.d3planner.com/284189546

Works out roughly as just under 10million sheet dps and 93% damage reduction. ( whirlwind 40%, ignore pain 50%, call of the ancients 50%, Unity 50%).

**edit not sure if you're aware OP judging by wording on "Convention of Elements - One of the best dps boosts. Could try to get a 200% roll and ignore the other stats." but the legendary affix's consumed by the cube get their full effect. So you can put in a 150% and still have the 200% effect. This is why I see Furnace and convention of elements as musts for the WW barb build because the free 50% damage / 200% damage is just too good.

No I wasn't aware of that. I am not claiming to have any more idea about the subject than you guys do. Just wanted to brainstorm a little Barbarian specific.

GUYS. :D There will be a special legendary in the next patch X% Bonus damage to Rift Guardians and Bosses. :D I just thought i tell you, since it might beat Furnace EASILY. :) As a leg affix of course.

Will be a gem, so not relevant here.

On bracers: Nemesis? You mean Reapers Wraps right?

    Yes, my mistake.

However, nemesis bracers could also be interesting for speed runs maybe?

There are a lot of threads already going on this topic, but they are all messy and for all classes. I'd like to compile a list of legendary affixes to narrow down the possibilities when the patch hits specifically for Barbarians.

Here are some obvious choices to get started. Feel free to add your thoughts on any of them plus additional ideas. I am pretty sure, that the obvious choices will not be the ones that we will be using in a couple of weeks.

    Additional Sources

More information on the topic: Link

List of all extractable affixes: Link

    Clarifications

    * If you extract the legendary power of an item, it will be stored as a max-roll. So any item you find of that type will do.

    * You can not extract set items.

    * Offhands and shields will also count for your weapon slot extract. Source

    * Hellfire Amulet can not be extracted (blue confirmed).

    Weapon

    • Furnace - Obvious choice; the elite damage is insane. Although RG will have lower life in the future.
    • Shard of Hatred - Lightning Spec?
    • Skywarden - Small selfbuff for additional defense or damage. Probably too minor of an impact.
    • Corrupted Ashbringer - Probably not available!
    • Blood Brother - Block and dmg boost. Might be a more defensive option for higher GR.
    • Scourge - Chance to explode=more aoe damage. We probably wont need that with WW.
    • Stalgard's Decimator - High random/single-target dps. Also physical. Might be better than Shard of Hatred.
    • ?

    Juwelery

    • Ring of Royal Grandeur - Allows equipping a more powerful ring like Stone of Jordan.
    • Unity - Same as RoRG for solo players.
    • Convention of Elements - One of the best dps boosts.
    • Maaras - defensive (poison)
    • Xephirian - defensive (lightning)
    • Obsidian Ring - more cooldown reduction to allow for other item combinations.

    Armor

    • Reapers Bracers - For using high rage builds with Berserker Rage
    • Hexing Pants - Damage and rage boost for high rage builds?
    • Cindercoat - Fire Builds?
    • Nemesis Bracers - Maybe for speed runs in lower tiers?
    • Pride of Cassius - Builds including Ignore Pain.
    • Bracers of the First Men - Will no longer work with WW builds.

it could be everybody gets their own timer.... so if somebody is getting wrecked they wont move on to the next level and if a person is staying alive and well they would be able to move on if that is what the group was planning on doing
Way too complicated for Blizz standards and honestly, induces toxic behaviour and waiting at the next level and stuff.
It just doesn't work out for multiplayer.

The gem becomes worthwhile if you level it up some. I rerolled 18% firedmg (roughly 11% dmg loss on my current gear) from my amulet to a socket for using the toxin gem. I noticed a dmg drop, but invisble mobs can be detected by the green slither plus if a monster runs out of your aoe area it will still continue to take damage.

I leveld it to 20 and the gem starts to get my damage back on a level it once was. However, one question remain: Does the toxin gem trigger itself and apply the 10% debuff as well even if I don't use any poison damage spells?

Gem poisons enemies. Poisoned enemies takes additional damage... Does it need more explanation? Are you serious? It doesnt say anthing about "poison damage" just poisoning. Kappa.
Felt too good to be true :)

Stinking casuals. Can somebody please explain it to me? I consider myself a pillar of the community

Pompous, self-centered, egotistical, elitist in disguise much? I'm going to guess you started spewing nonsense like this, probably about how they were moving sooo slow, and killing sooo slow, and then ran here to play the victim in your "OH, Woe is me!!" joke of a thread.

I hope you get kicked some more. You deserve it.
Of course, I am a bit arrogant, because I take my games seriously, know how to play and if I think you play like shit, I let you know it. However, I did nothing of this sort in the games in question. I even opened the rift unasked. How can you say I deserve to be kicked, if you don't know shit about me? I am just genuinely confused. Maybe you are one of the guys who kick people for no reason, too? That would be a fitting accusation according to your logic.

@topic: I solemnly swear I will no longer do public games, no matter the reason.
