Brevik was a dick and acted way to disrespectful. He comes off as a very jaded guy in the interview, but Jay's reaction was plain childish. I wish Dave would man up as well and apologize for insulting his former colleagues, so we can just move on from this silly beef and continue improving the game.
That said, I must say I am intrigued by the things coming in the next few months. If the team keeps working hard and stays on the right course, we just might get an awesome product and a worthy Diablo sequel by the end of this year. Yay.

Slorak's Madness - This wand finds your death humorous.
Anyone know what the deal is with this one? x)
It will probably play a laughing sound whenever you die. Similar to how the Pig Sticker squeals and the way you can hear the Butcher when using Butcher's Sickle. -

Aug 17, 2012EleSaturate posted a message on Patch 1.0.4 Class Preview: Witch DoctorThese are probably the most solid changes out of all the class previews that came before. Witch Doctor should always primarily be a powerful pet class, and it seems we're finally gonna be able to play it as such come 1.0.4. Rejoice.Posted in: News

Looking at how they buffed the already solid barbarians I think that the other classes are gonna get some serious love too, especially the witch doctors. -

My gosh, you're right! This changes... everything. xD
Also, that trailer showed a whole bunch of things that were never even present in retail WoW. Even though the audio was set perfect, with an epic voice and an even more epic music, the gameplay footage was very much obscure, most of the time showing some of the mobs like they were playable races, and only a tiny bit of a few selected zones. I must say that the Diablo trailers and commercials are, as they should be, seeing the time difference, vastly superior to that of WoW's in almost every conceivable way. -

Also, interesting to hear that Jay did all the work on designing the monk and his skills. All I can say is way to go, Jay. The class plays beautifully. -

Reminds you that you only saw a tiny percentage of the whole game and that there is a lot more of it waiting to surprise and amaze you. D3 can't come soon enough!Posted in: News

Awesome!

Blizzard will definitely announce more expansion content at Blizzcon. That's the place for which you save the juiciest info.
Josh stated that they picked only a few topics to talk about at Gamescom, and that there's a lot more to the expansion. Also, whoever thinks the game will cost less than 40$ is quite delusional. xD

The game is in the right hands. Whoever made the call to let Jay go and bring Josh in did both the company and the community a big favor.

I can't agree more. D3 is in dire need of complexity, and systems that will appease to a somewhat hardcore type of player for a prolonged period of time. These Nephalem Trials certainly seem like a place where you can go completely off the rails and use your imagination to craft a meaningful and rewarding experience.

Very well said. I only followed him when he came to fame in the early days of WoW, and behind all that trolling and silliness he was always a really serious gamer and an amazing professional. That interview was great.

Well, they seem to be adding Nephalem Valor to lower levels, so leveling will definitely feel more rewarding, especially with the Loot 2.0. Plus, with Paragon Levels now being account wide, you will probably be able to put a ton of stats into +experience and quickly move to end game.
Can't really see them revamping vanilla acts in any significant way.

Loved your ideas, so it's great to see something similar being implemented into the game. The more randomness to the world the better.

Yeah, Trials are definitely going to be an end game PvE system.
No need to worry, Bagstone

Pretty much obvious by now.
On topic, hell yeah I want to see PvP, in whatever form they decide to bring it to us. Doesn't have to be too glamorous or anything, but I hope they will balance it so it requires skill and time to master. Really hoping they share some news about this at Blizzcon.
0
Exactly. They're adding one act and one class, and they've been working on this for quite some time now. I would be shocked if we waited longer than May for the release.
0
They are. Icons are one of the last things they implement before the release.

7-8 months seems more likely.
That's some great stuff. Loot Runs seem really awesome, with quite a high replayability value. A couple of more end-game solutions and RoS will be a time devouring beast.

Except not everyone's x-mas list is the same.
I can bet you there's a lot of people out there that are waiting for more than a loot/power reset to get them to buy the expansion and invest a large amount of hours into it.
Blizzard never ruled out the ladder, nor have they claimed that there will never be a competitive side to D3. E-sports is not the only way to keep the community thriving, and I'm hoping that they will be addressing this at Blizzcon, with more details about the end game content that they have planned for us.
With that being said, new Paragon changes are awesome! There seems to be more than one way to customize your stats and character with it. Really a great and welcome addition.
Paladin was one of my favorite classes in D2, and I love to play a shield wielding character, so win-win with the Crusader. I hoped for the Druid but he would simply not fit the tone of the expansion. The dark, gothic atmosphere returns to Diablo, and that's a big, big plus.
Also, this new, seamless transition between areas that they've shown is quite great. I'm still hoping that we will see the quest system redesign, with actual rewards, meaningful random quests and other cool stuff. If they announce a couple more interesting features like a no story mode and porting through the acts the game will sure be worth the 40$.
