Yet another Verdict video ready for another set: Bones of Rathma.

This is supposed to be the 100% pet-oriented set and really like it. But so far it's waaay too spammy and the efficiency and enjoyment are greatly diminished by this kind of gameplay. Also, toughness is simply terrible, so it's almost entirely like the good old BoreTooth where you have to hide and sit behind the corner.. waiting for your minions to kill everything. But even BoreTooth was not so squishy! Let's take a deep look!

I'll start saying that i've been playing PoE for 1k hours since i quit D3. I came back recently to realize how good some things are here compared to other games.
The game surprisingly still gave me hours of fun when i logged onto my non-seasonal characters and played some rifts. I wasn't aiming for the leaderboards or anything like that just roleplaying, listening to music and slaying monsters non stop and getting rewards in every rift. I had all cosmetics unlocked and didn't had to pay for any lootboxes or microtransactions to customize my characters. The animated wings were so beatiful and made my crusader look like a true god.
I just cannot explain how wrong i were on some of the things i said before i left. This game was worth every euro i spent on it. Glad i still can enjoy this and even if there isn't anything new the game on it's own is great. It doesn't feel buggy at all and it's the smoothest action i've ever experienced.
Just wanted to shoutout all D3 fans out there before we get D4 MMO version with lootboxes and such. I'm just glad i got to play D3 again.

Necromancers will be defenitely up there in terms of dps. Rathma's + Jesseth is legit for both trash and boss killing. Not sure if you might find 2 necros as dps with different auras. The passive that increases damage per each enemy affected by auras will scale very good with density and also considering necromancers have a ring that benefit a lot from cc effects. monks/barbs will still be the group's core unless they get nerfed even more.
Non-meta wise you can still play dps with some builds (hammerdin/rolands crusader, whirldwind/earthquake barb , gen/uliana's monk, marauder's/UE dh, firebirds/dmo wiz, firebats wd...) and clear 100s if properly geared and augmented and with the right team.
Things like spirit barrage wd or impale demon hunters are just very efficient at what they do and they still will be a part of the meta or at least be an alternative.

For a quick leveling is just better to have a clan and powerlevel each other to 70. It takes 1-2 rifts max to get to level 70 with a gem of ease rank 70. After that just craft/gamble lvl 70 items. Maybe upgrade rares on the cube and you are good to go in less than 20 min.

Just think only about the 5% player base that is pushing/grinding the gr meta. That's why you often see "D3 is dead" because the other 95% quit the game because of lack of content.

The problem is that they are not PoE players ranting about other games. They are actually Diablo fans that have grinded this game a lot and eventually decided to quit because of lack of new content and gameplay issues. They switched to PoE, WoW or any other game and they are giving their opinion on the current state of D3 after experimenting other things. I haven't ever played PoE but i might just try it out.

What's really fucked up is the GR meta in this game. Eventually progression slows down once you have all gear ancient at let's say 85% perfection. At that point all you have to do is level up gems/paragons/augment items. The problem with this is that is conditionated by the people you play GRs with. Public GRs lobbies are a complete shitshow and a good and stable group is hard to find.
You could say there is a lot of builds to try out. But the effectiveness is always conditionated by gems/paragons/augments. At that point you probably quit the game until next season just to see what's new. I haven't played PoE but i'm quite sure it's much better than D3 at this point. Playing for leaderboards takes an insane amount of time and even solo leaderboards requires to go multiplayer just for the upgrades.
I was really excited for Primal Ancient items this season. But after seeing that you can get 2 or more bad rolls on them making your ancient item better than the "end game" item, i'm not excited anymore.

Same thing happens to me. I mostly play DH which actually has the biggest diversity in useful builds. Still there are some things like elemental arrow, chakram, cold grandes, LoN spike traps that simply don't work because bad in-game mechanics. It is very easy to balance this things to the 40,000% impale damage just by fixing the way they interact with legendary gems and other legendary items.
Cold skills are terrible since mobs eventually become inmune to freeze. Rimeheart/frostburn combo which could make a lot of interesting cold builds interesting is fully useless instead.
Can't imagine how bad that feels on a WD with only one build for grs.

Maybe just stop trying to compete against the people that play 10h/day and only judge others because of paragon. Who cares about their judgment? If you are playing solo like me you shouldn't. Leaderboards are a joke we all know that. Only thing that matters is inner judgment and playing for fun. Just try out all the amazing builds out there and see how far you can get with them. Put some music on, destroy some mobs and relax.
