Yes very similar...I think I saw the one below the first time I went on the site after the new layout. Can't remember whether it was there for a couple of seconds or an hour...didn't pay much attention, perhaps just a placeholder (top one, or one similar, remember the 3 vertical bars with Diablo peering through):

But what Rebound said is sort of right. For some reason its not as easy to read as on MMO-champion.

I've never been on MMO-Champion before, so I went there and had a look for myself. Yes this new layout does look almost exactly like MMO-C's, but that's not the issue here. Most people either complain that it looks to much like MMO-Champion or that they like this new layout cause it looks a lot like MMO-Champion. Leave MMO-Champion out of this, this is DiabloFans (even though as I understand Bibi also is/was mmo-c's administrator, hence the mmo-c layout). Give constructive criticism for the new DiabloFans layout so that it can be improved, not blablabla mmo-c this and that.
I prefer it this way actually. And for those of you that don't like it, you better get used to it, cause they're not changing it. -

agreed, they are changing alot of stuff that doesnt need to be changed, or stuff that is PATCH type things they could easily add after release. considering it was said months ago it was fully playable start to finish i dont think any game polishing is holding it up. like you said they are just polishing it while they have extra time for some other reason.
Look in update 1/2. It's not an official Blizz quote but it is a quote from a Blue man (Zhydaris). So this is more legit than our own speculation. IMO yes, Blizz do have extra time to polish stuff and to add new features that was supposed to get implemented only after the release because of another "delay". And they are still aiming for an "early 2012" release. -

I really can't understand most of the people criticizing the intro cinematics!! First of all, IF you know a little bit about D3, you understand that it really fits with the beginning of the game... Cain is missing under tristram church and leah is in town looking for help to rescue him...

1 - Watch this intro.
2 - Choose class/gender and watch that intro.
3 - (Note: I'm not in the beta and has only watched a couple of beta vids...therefore I know little about the lore leading up to the Skeleton King). You begin where the Intro Cinematic ended (meteor/angel crash into cathedral). Begin playing (like in beta) and venture through places and end up going through the cathedral to go check out what the fuck has happened where the meteor/angel crashed. Hence why you find Deckard Cain there (how he's still alive is beyond me [maybe they say in beta?]).
4 - Find Skeleton King, kill his shiny metal ass.

Again, this cinematic is probably just one of the bits Blizz is giving to us to keep us busy and interested (not so much anymore tbh) till the time they announce the release date or even till the game is released.
All the people that's trolling and flaming Blizz about how pour this vid is, you're just raging cause they didn't give a release date and you have nothing else to do to keep you busy...I'm on the verge of this but I don't blabber my disappointment (in a very offending way) on the forums.
Anyway, Blizz should just give a release date in Des then I'll be happy. But this is just another hurdle we have to get pass (like we hoped for a release date at the VGAs). But with that whole Korean RMAH situation, we might again be disappointed for not getting a release date in Des...

I doubt Blizzard has any fear that D3 won't sell well. Diablo as a gaming series transcends the need for any kind of advertising. If anything, they are giving us the info they have simply because they want to. With or without all the data we have seen to date (gameplay videos, battle.net database, etc), it'll still sell a huge amount of copies.
I'm guessing you saw this meteor as an actual meteor, then yes, the impact was to insignificant. But it's not a meteor, it's probably one of the angles, we'll have to wait and see. I'm not an English aficionado (in fact, english is my second language [spellcheck helps a bunch!]), but the cathedral is probably a metaphor for a sanctuary, a place of piece, quite and a place to feel safe in, a fair place. And it has just been "invaded" by a darkness (whether it's angels or demons) and has disrupted everything the cathedral stood for. And it make it worst that the fact is that this will be the central breeding ground of hell's demons.
Agreed, Opening Cinematics is supposed to be first seen when you play the game for the first time. There's a reason why it's called opening cinematic, you know. It's SUPPOSED to be reserved for when you start the game, not some game award show. Yet somehow Blizzard decides "not anymore!". Why? I don't get it. Is it really because they want to keep up the hype for a game that's been missing a release date for over three years now? No matter the reason though, it's clear that they've run out of stuff to talk about in order to keep people interested so instead they slowly start to rip pieces of the game apart. No pride there, apparently.

I replied to a thread in the official site. Another guy from South Africa has the same problem.
PS I want to post this in that thread but when I want to submit it gives a "Your post contains invalid or restricted HTML code". I can't figure out what part it is, I've removed a couple of things but nothing seems to work
Mmm well, I've done ping tests on pingtest(dot)net and my pings are extremely high (note this is from Joburg and I'm in Cape Town so 50ms? added):
First set of results:
- South of EU (Malta) - 331ms
- Middle of EU (UK) - 471ms
- North of EU (Germany) - 321ms
Second set of results:
- South of EU (Malta) - 285ms
- Middle of EU (UK) - 482ms
- North of EU (Germany) - 291ms
Third set of results:
- South of EU (Malta) - 315ms
- Middle of EU (UK) - 489ms
- North of EU (Germany) - 280ms
Weird that the North is basically the same as the South. Could it be that Germany just have better servers? I know that the UK is a bit to the left in comparison to the other, but that big a difference is abnormal.
I don't really know in what range a connection is considered stable (10ms-20ms?). I guess it might be our ISP. But it will be nice for a Blizz employee to comment on this, since they know, for one, where the EU servers are located and why this might be happening.
Also I've checked that in BF3, when I go to a server in:
- Germany - 236-237ms.
- UK - 228-230ms.
- Italy - 228-230ms.
And I've just played D3 in a pub game with constant 220ms ping
FML.
Earlier today I played and the before mentioned ping problems were still occurring ..Man hope it's fixed now...but will post again if it happens again.

Anyway, I've only got to Inferno a couple of days ago with my barb (finally got all 5 classes to level 60 (1)! :Thumbs Up: ), but I really like my current build:

Well I'm not gonna go into much detail:
- "War Cry" (life reg + 10% life) and "Battle Rage" (dmg bonus) as my buffs.
- "Rend" (dmg as life) and "Cleave" (dmg increase).
- "Furious Charge" (with -2 sec per enemy hit - hit 5 enemies = no cooldown) and "Leap" (stun for 3 sec OR 300% armor for 3 sec).
So basically what I do is (after the buffs ofc) Charge into a group of enemies and spam it till i cant anymore, use Leap on the spot and then Rend and Cleave Cleave Cleave till they die.
Against Elites it's not that different, but I don't spam Charge. Instead I Charge once then the same, so I can use Charge to get away if necessary.

Yeah I think so too, found the keywardens in Act 1 and 3 (basically skipped Act 2) and didn't get the keys. Do you still have that Monk set item? Lol I wanna see it! You already sold it didn't you?
Lol yeah I got 2 legendaries today with a total of about 5, including these, in about 250 hours total. Also how long does it take you battle.net profile to update? Cause it says my barb hasn't finished Hell (finished 2-3 days ago) and my Witch Doc is level 59 and it still says it's level 51
Edit: Forgot to mention - For some reason when I join a pub game or I start a game and open to pub, my game gets really laggy. I have tested it yesterday and today as well.
- Couple of months back when D3 came out my latency was between 180-200ms for every game. (green bar)
- Now if I play alone it's between 220-300ms (green/yellow bar).
- If I play pub game it's always between 300-500ms with spikes of 5-10 seconds up to 1000+. The spikes are in all the games now.
I'm not downloading anything when I play and I ran speedtest.net whilst playing and it's fine. Any ideas why this might be so?
Edit 2: This started happening this week, even before the patch.

In other news, 3 of my 5 characters are level 60 (1) at least. It is my goal to get each class to at least level 60 (1). My other 2 characters are level 51 starting in Hell. It's gonna feel epic when I get all 5 to 60.

Last I gave a run-through of my characters, only my Monk was in Inferno. My barb didn't feel epicly strong, when playing Nightmare/beginning of Hell, but now he just feel so fucking strong. Have to thank Slayerviper for showing that 2handed barb thread, I didn't change much, but the little changes were significant. "Furious Charge" into a huge pack of demons and spamming that till most are dead are so cool (have the rune that -2sec per enemy hit).

Cool will check out this thread once I start playing with my barb again. I really enjoyed him in early game, smashing zombies to bits with that slow yet powerful 2h swing.

About university: I'm 3de year atm and passed my first 2 years with no real hassle, so I know about hard work/going to class etc. I exponentially became more and more lethargic each passing year, I think it's because I still passed my 2de year even though I didn't work nearly as much as I did in the first year. I have 2 older brothers and 2 sisters and all of them just told me not to fuck my first year up. It will just get more tedious repeating subjects etc. I followed their advice and all, but for some reason this year I'm just super lazy.
Dunno if unmotivated is the right word to use cause I still enjoy the work. MY problem is getting started with the work. If I start something, I usually complete it or go as far as I can.
Luckily for me I have a bursary for 4 years, so an extra year I'll have to pay for! I agree with going to class and doing assignments, but this cold, rainy weather doesn't help much!!

One of the reasons I try to avoid the AH, as well, may be because I don't have sense for what items go for or what a good price is for something. When I have a decent item I think will sell for a pretty penny, I end up reducing the sellout price so much, I could just have sold it ingame OR the item doesn't even sell after 4-5 tries (each time reducing the sellout price) then I just get over it and sell it in game.
As for legendary/set items, I've picked up only 2 useless ones in Inferno with my monk. Had picked up another 2 during my playthrough with my other characters. But I think my combined time played is just over 200hours. Yeah it sucks if that 0.00006% (?) chance to get a legendary just doesn't get you one after 500+ hours...
It's all up to chance (obviously). Even with a 50% to get a legendary, theoretically you can still NOT get one even after 500+ hours.
But that first time you see a legendary, you get a crazy adrenaline rush! Well I did. At least you won't miss a legendary drop, since Blizz made it light up etc. So hopefully you'll get one soon!
