I agree with Ardikus, the music in the 3rd game is too much in the background. While it does invoke emotion, it's not nearly as memorable as the D2 soundtrack (at least what we've heard so far).

Thank you for the updated songs, Prosthesy.

Obviously, we're in the beta and the content we hear is limited just like everything else, but I wanted to know what others think about the music.

I was looking at the gameplay videos while listening to this particular song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9Zy_Bo1NSs

Personally, I find the tracks very moody and fitting for the game atmosphere, but I can't help but feel they went in a completely different direction with it.

IMO the tracks are perfect for the locations, but they just don't go that well with the massacre you're doing. If this was a survival game where you controlled a weak character that is supposed to hide and evade the demons/zombies, these themes would fit much better, in my opinion. It just sounds too ambiental and discreet, when you're in fact ripping up hordes of hellspawn/undead non-stop.

The tristram theme from d1/2 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obsFxm4fj7g ) really makes its presence felt and is in my opinion more fitting to what you're doing in the actual game.

Don't take this as a rant, because it's not.. I'd say it was just my observation, and I'd like to hear opinions on this.

It's kind of depressing. I've been in the WC3, WoW and SC2 beta since the start, and all of those have been pretty much full games minus the campaign in WC3/SC2. D3 is going to be disappointing in that aspect but I still can't wait to try it.

Anyone know if there's a level cap? Or if, after you finish Leoric, you are obliged to "quit" that character or you can just keep playing in the previous areas?

    - I would be concerned about how much real estate on my screen would be used for this mechanic. While I actually love this idea, if you're playing with 3 other players and they each pick up, say, 5 items total (gold, junk axe, rune, gem, etc) then you're going to have several sentences of "Player X picked up XXX" across the screen.

Maybe if it all incorporated a filtering process so you could choose to only see when other players pick up magical, or legendary items, or misc items...what have you.

Like the concept. Have to work out the details though! :o

Excellent idea, a filter would be great, and it should be set to Magical items and up on default I guess.

    Not sure do want.

Privately, it would ease trust issue with friends. Public; however, it would be unfortunate. I'm not sure I want to advertise my unique drops to my three acquaintices and have them immidiately beg for it or demand it because "it's for their class."

I trust my friends but I want to know what public people get. It doesn't always have to involve begging, people can offer a legitimate trade and you don't have to advertise what you got every time you get an item you consider un-needed. Perhaps you found a sub-par crossbow that you'd throw, but it's actually an upgrade for the DH in your group. If he didn't see what you got you'd just trash it.

I know we can't see the item drop itself, but can we a log of what everyone picks up. As in, Player3 has picked up [Buriza-do Kyanon]?

I think it would help and would facilitate trading on the spot as someone might pick items that are needed by party members.

I hated the amazon, though I loved the Assassin. That said, I will probably start with the female DH as my first character. After that, definitely male monk.

I think the barbarian. Straight forward, brutal and familiar gameplay.

If you ask me I'd include world PvP. Fighting groups of players who have to get to a certain point and capture/kill an objective. You'd have a huge map at your disposal, like the marshes from Act 3 of D2.

Arena is just too boring and predictable.

Well Sorc was best in D2 because she could teleport. I hope the current TP won't be as broken and if that's the case, than I am not really sure what will be the most profitable farming class. Everyone has some sort of AoE and everyone has strong 1v1 skills for bosses...

I'm angry? Let me check.. nope.

What made you think that? It's just my opinion that Blizzard is making stuff up to hide the real reason for this, but since I'm not affected by it I do not really care. Honest words go a long way in my book, but I guess in the current time those are hard to come by, at least from the corporate world.

I don't really care. I'm online constantly anyway.

I just wish blizzard would stop with the bullshit and just admit it's an anti-piracy measure instead of trying to come up with random excuses that are easy to see through.
