The thing that screwed up their initial end game prediction is the inferno nerf. Majority of the casual community would still be on act 1-2 trying hard to farm gear. It wasn't perfect, but it would have delayed the end game problem.
So this would buff MF users and give people a bigger incentive to gear MF. Right now MF feels weak compare to NV guarantee drops. It shouldn't feel this way. MF should be better than NV. MF > NV
So if you gear MF you get the incentive of being able to farm faster and gain more loot than people without MF.
I'm excited about these loot changes but I'm confused about the Act 1 & 2 changes. Act 1 and 2 was fine before... I mean... they just buffed them.
Everyone is going to Farm Act 1 now... at least I know I will. I think they went a bit overboard with the Act 1 rates... Act 1 is so easy that I wouldn't even call it Inferno, it's more like Hell+.

You definitely get more good stuff, but getting it by doing less challenging content. If you find that rewarding then yaya!

What they needed to do was
Balance class and kept inferno the same.
It was definitely a nerf and it was expected but not in the way they did it. Before patch 1.0.3 If you hit the "act 2 wall" then you just weren't geared enough or skilled enough.
What they did now is they made the game easy. They decided to not rebalance Classes and fix classes. They threw in the towel and just nerfed content over buffing and rebalancing classes. If you initially followed inferno, inferno was suppose to take months for casuals to finish. That just isn't required anymore.
Fun isn't beating inferno in 2 days. Fun is having a balance class and ability to play with all skills while the content is still challenging and finding loot in the harder difficulty more rewarding.
Wow seriously all the crying over 1.0.3 has reached this forum too? Its bad enough that the official forums are littered with a bunch of immature kids spamming threads abusing the devs for a change they dont agree with.
1.0.3 is pretty bad. I don't even have to energy to give you a full detailed reasons why, but to simply put the game isn't rewarding anymore.
Before 1.0.3 the game was a little more challenging and fast paced and finding loot in act3/4 was fun/rewarding. Now it's just slow paced, easy and farming for loot isn't as rewarding.
I've sold $600 worth of items and still have plenty of $250 items in stash, all found before 1.0.3. I also speed farmed 8-10 times an hour before patch. Now I have absolutely no motivation to farm. At most now I farm maybe 1-2 times an hour then just get bored. It's just isn't rewarding to farm anymore.

Add a Gear Switching Button is a no brainer, but not for last minute Magic Find kills.

Or just no gear switching during combat. Gear switching during combat shouldn't even be possible.

Remove Swapping gear during combat.
Give Magic Find users a free NV buff for achieving such high MF # on their item set.
40 MF = 1 NV
80 MF = 2 NV
120 MF = 3 NV
160 MF = 4 NV
200 MF = 5 NV

Any of the options doesn't matter to me. The only option that affects me is #1 because I already hit over the MF cap with my MF/DPS gear.
