ruksak posted a message on Set item in inventory - does it count?Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from Crateme
Well that sucks. Guess that basically means I'll never be able to afford a decent set and just go with normal legendaries. Blizzard should change it; it was surely not exploitable in D2, so there must be a way to make it non-exploitable in D3, such as limiting your character to 3 sets total.
Or just put no limit. If you can afford 7 full sets then you deserve 7 full set bonuses.

Conclusion: You have way, way, WAY more free time to play than the majority of the playerbase (not the majority of biased sample of people who post here, but the full playerbase). Of course you are finding a ton of legendaries - the game is now balanced around giving the casual players a shot at finding epic gear, as it should be. -

Akimasu posted a message on MP10 No AH challenge - Which class? To make this clear: I'm a huge fan of Roguelikes. Games that are brutally hard, and punish you even harder. I want to see difficulty, I want to die in normal my first time through - I love games like this. I want to spend months and months on this trying to get to the next level, then brutally fall back to the start when I mess up. I want to have to think when I play and not just charge in and hold right click. In short - I want to really feel like it was an achievment to mop up the floor with Diablo on inferno, striking my first hardcore full game clear. I want to be reminded of my grey bow no armor amazing HC run, when I fell face first into act 2 of nightmare.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I see this as fun. Kaizo Mario, Masochistic mario, these were a blast. Games like Ultima Online, Zettai Hero Project, etc. I'm looking forward to this challenge, just unsure what exactly to take it as. -

ArchonTheWizard posted a message on Another BILLION Gold Giveaway on Twitch! - This Time for CharityLast month we gave away 1 Billion gold on my live-stream (twitch.tv/archonthewizard). At the time I thought it would be the only time we'd be able to do it, but we're doing it again, this Saturday (October 20th) and it's going to be even better!Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
We've been raising money for Boston Children's Hospital, and are currently the #2 Fundraiser on Extra-Life.org (a great charity for gamers to help kids). The charity ends on October 20th with a 24-Hour Gaming marathon from 8am until 8am PST on the 21st. I want to make sure we raise as much as possible, and so I bought 1 billion gold on the RMAH, and we'll be giving it to a random person who donates to the cause.
To be entered, you only need to donate $5. 100% of the money goes to Boston Children's Hospital, I never even see the money, so you can feel safe donating. If you're skeptical of the charity you can do some research on Extra Life and you'll see they raised $1.2 Million last year. If you're skeptical of the 1 Billion gold giveaway you can talk to anyone who was at the last giveaway who will tell you it's completely random and we show the entire process.
In addition to the 1 Billion gold, we'll be giving away a TON of other in-game and RL items throughout the day. It would mean a lot to us on the stream and the children at Boston Children's Hospital if you could stop by and show your support. Even if you're not able to donate, just being on the channel will help raise awareness for the cause.
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. We've raised over $9,000, and we're aiming for $15,000 -

Basically, all race play exactly the same, bluff dps, life and resist.
All end game build and items are the same. Best barb with Ik set. Best monk with inna, dh with nat. Wd/wiz with zuni -

Zero(pS) posted a message on Legendary drop rate DOUBLEDHardcore elitist-type gamers probably won't like this.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
You'll definitely see tons of threads on the official forums with ignorant comments like "eff you Blizz, now everyone gets whatever they want and the set that I dropped isn't worth 200 mil, it's worth 5 mil - game's so easy even my grandma can play it".
For everyone else? That's fucking amazing hopefully doubling it actually means something and I'll start seeing some legendaries/sets (and plans) on my own, without resorting to the AH. Worst case scenario it's not a noticeable change and they'll have to double it another 2-3 times for us to notice - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Well, if the universe is god, then it can be eternal. I'm taking a pantheistic approach here. I can't really discuss further about god because I don't know anything about Islam or the Quran, if that's what you believe in. Is god, acording to Islam, an actual being, with will, kind of like the christian one? (I know about religions in general, and I was educated as a christian, but I don't know about any other specific religion, so forgive me if I say something offesive or blatantly wrong) If you care to explain the basics of your religion to me, I could continue the disscusion.
That's not common sense, that's just you hoping that life has meaning. I wrote an essay about this once, criticizing Platon (pretty much the base of a lot of religions) I remember I quoted agent Smith
Why does human life has to have meaning? And if it does, what is it? I believe we are just another animal that happened to develop a better brain than the other animals, and is capable to understand things other animals cannot. But that's it, we are superior, but we are still just animals, with no special meaning, no divine purpose, another "useless entity". When we die, the same thing that happens to animals will happen to us, whatever it is. Of course, this is all very subjective and I don't think there a way to really discuss this. It just depends on whether you believe, or you don't

02:16:06:11
This number appears in both of the characters' faces. Let's write them differently.
02 = 16/06/11
Think about it, the second installment of the game (02) will be released in 16th June of next year (16:06:11). They did say that they wanted to release the exansion a year after the main game, and this is pretty close, almost 11 months. Plus, it can't be a coincidence, since it's in both of their faces, so it's a planned thing, not some random numbers. If they were random, they woudn't have used the same numbers for both. Besides, maybe players don't notice because they don't really look at it, but whoever it was at Blizzard that though of this number must have realized it looks a damn lot like a release date.
What do you think about this? Personally, I'd love if it was released in less than a year. And also important, if this turns out to be true, what does it mean for D3? I recall reading that they wanted to release D3 before SC2 expansion, but I'm not sure.
EDIT: I re-checked and the numbers on James' face are not those ones. My bad. They are on Tychus' face though, and much clearer than those on James' face.
EDIT 2: I'm talking about the offine menu screen. Here or here (less clear)

I'm guessing the Instability resource has something to do with not using the same school of spells over and over, or you destabilize or something.

This is from Diablo Facebook Page.
So, we finally get a name for the Wizard's Resource System. Instability. Sounds great.
I haven't had time to think how it would work, I'll post my ideas later. But do you guys think?
Also, we get some scarce info on the Monk's Resource. I guess the most interesting part of that is how Blizz refers to the monk as a Holy Warrior.
EDIT: Now that I think of it, this should be moved to General D3 section, since it contains info about the Monk also.
