Since they are all multiplicative, it does not matter which order they go.Quote from TheSeanis
as far as I Know, that type of damage mitigation is calculated before your actual damage reduction so it goes damage > elite reduction > missile/melee reduction > armor> resist

Zero(pS) posted a message on Another PTR..... Reallyreally disappointed as well.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Thought we'd have a ton of stuff by the end of March, and then we see that the itemization blog isn't here yet, the Developer Answers II has been split up in different parts, and now they're gonna have a PTR for 1.0.8 (which indeed means I'd say at least a month before the patch actually hits).
These are the things that actually piss me off. How slow they are sometimes to do some things. Not the whole "there's no end-game" or "the AH sucks, I have no gold/money", but how slow they are to solve the most obvious things (like some skill runes, or whole skills like Barbs' Call of Arreat). -

Artemix posted a message on Diablo 3 Offline Play on Playstation 3, 4It's not about the stable connection.. I have to play with 200+ ms all the time. That makes some skills really clunky to use, specially the ones that execute instantly, like the barb charge, an amazing and fun to use skill, totally ruined by my latency.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion -

JKlimek posted a message on You Know You're Too Involved With Diablo When...You know you're too involved with Diablo when your 3 year old knows what the game is called and stands behind your chair and encourages you to "kill the bad guys" and knows to go "ooooo" when a legendary drops.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I'm having a blast playing with my 5 year old tho. I died about halfway through the butcher one time and she had to finish him by herself and she was so scared about the "big bad guy"... so priceless, and she beat him!! -

Uldyssian posted a message on The PVP Blog Is HereBeing alright with how they have handled the development of the game is simply being too accepting of mediocre results. I do not dispute that there is always a deluge of whiny, counter productive complaints out there constantly. But holding them to a standard that they built themselves with their previous titles should not be looked on as a bad thing.Posted in: News & Announcements
This game simply took far too long to arrive at the conclusions it came to and as we have seen they continue to try and steer it away from where the previous game was while invariably returning to its principles after seeing that it was probably a good route to take in the first place.
They are intentionally obtuse and resistant to the idea that Diablo 2 (while clearly a title worth improving and building up from) was at its core a very engaging game for a wide range of gamers. They were far too determined to creating a game that stood out from its predecessors rather than something that felt as if it was a natural next step in the franchise.
Why not pair the stellar, smooth gameplay they have created in D3 with some depth and character? -

I spent soo many hours (years!) looking forward to D3.. theory crafting before we even had anything to theory craft.
I've played TONS of D3 and for the most part enjoyed the time - so I can't really say that I think the game is a terrfic failure.
But does it / has it fallen WAY short of my hopes and dreams? Absolutely.
The last two months or so have been a "wait for PvP" time for me - hoping that my D3 love would be rekindled.
Now with this news.. I'm ready to really and actualy move on. Path of Exile is SO amazing (been in the beta for almost half a ayear and it just keeps getting better and better with every patch). I'll be playing the heck out of it.
I'm not calling D3 a failure, or a bad game. Its not. But its nothing even remotely close to what I hoped it would be (for me at least) while spending over a year of my life devouring every piece of development news.
I'll of coruse keep tabs on the game - I'll give dueling a try - I'd also be lying if I said I wont still be hoping / praying for a better game to come of it all with future patches / expansions. But for the time being.. I'm moving on to PoE.
Been fun hanging out here (not been around alot of late), espacialy during development. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Suppose I get the Uber Axe of Awesomeness, perfect for my Barb, and valued at 30 dollars on the RMAH. Without the RMAH, I wouldn't even think about selling it (why would I want the gold if I already have a perfect weapon?). But now with the addition of the RMAH, if I don't sell it but use it, as I really want to, there's always gonna be this bug in my head that says "WTF are you doing running around with $30? Sell that shit, it's $30 for some stupid virtual advantage!" That's no fun.

I believe that "god" is everything, the whole universe and the laws that govern it. My "god" doesn't have a name, intention or purpose; its only quality is existing. I use quotation marks because it's not a god in the normal way; it's not antropomorphic, it doesn't have a master plan or expects you to behave in a certain way, it doesn't look upon us. I know those characteristics don't define all "normal" gods, but I think I got my point across. My god is not a person.
So what is it? God (I'm going to stop using "my", just imagine it's there) is many things. First, it's the universe, or better yet, it's the fact that the universe exists, which I find pretty amazing. It's not the creator of the universe, it's the characteristic of its existance. It's also the answer to those kind of questions the science will never be able to answer (I think the correct term is metaphysics.) Why is the universe made out of atoms (or whatever it is actually made of)? Why is the speed of light 300k m/s, and not some other random number? Why does gravity, or even mass exist? Why does energy and monumentum conserve? God is all those answers. It all seems so random.
As to proving it's existance, just look around. I know it's not actually proof enough, but it's the best I can do.
I'm just ranting now, I'm going to stop.
EDIT: Umpa said it better and funnier.
