This is really, really, really common. I forget the numbers, but the number of reported rapes is believed to be only a small fraction of what actually occurs.
I'll try that when I get back to my computer. I'll also note that the only change since I last played is a new video card and a new router, but I see no reason why either of those would make the game itself display a different message.
For the record, that site is really, really bad in the organization and aesthetics departments. I have never played that game, but is it at all based on the D20 system? It's just that I hear you mentioning Dex and Con, and while D20 is not the only system with those, it is probably the most famous because of Dungeons and Dragons.
An ever better system is one that grows due to your playstyle, if you take a lot of damage then your vit will raise more the next time you level up. If you have a high amount of armor and the armor takes away good amounts of damage it will be invested in dex, if you deal high amounts of melee damage your str will raise more and if you cast spell, well you get my drift.
Because that worked so well in FF2... I don't like that style of character growth at all, because it leads to people standing there getting hit while wearing no armour to pump up HP, then putting on some armour to get dex up, then taking out a dagger or something to boost str (if it works per hit) or finding whatever monster has the highest HP:XP ratio so they can have massive str for their level or some such thing.
And if you're so awesome you don't get hit until act 3, and you take one hit, Bam, dead, because you haven't been committing enough suicide to build up your HP yet.
An interesting note. Now it merely says "Cannot connect to Battle.net", but if I switch realms, it gives me the above message once, before going back to "Cannot connect to Battle.net".
Also, I am the only one who has used this key, and neither the key, nor the IP associated with it has, to my knowledge, been banned.
And lastly, I have seen a ban message. This is not a ban message. This is the game claiming my key doesn't exist, despite it being the one I used 1-2 years ago when playing with people on this site.
When they are really old, and are done, someone posts a completely useless post that only serves to ressurect (hence necro) a useless thread. Known other places as a 'bump'.
