Closed Beta Players - "One of the Chosen" Feat of Strength
It looks like people who were invited into the closed beta will be getting a feat of strength along with a unique sigil after logging in for the first time.
In celebration of a successful beta test, all players who were invited to participate in the Diablo III closed beta will receive the commemorative Feat of Strength, "One of the Chosen." For eligible players, this feat will appear automatically in the Feat of Strength list after logging in for the first time as well as unlock a unique sigil that can be used on character banners.
In order to be eligible for "One of the Chosen," you must have had a Diablo III closed beta license attached to your Battle.net account (it isn't necessary to have downloaded or logged into the beta itself). Please note that players who participated only in the Open Beta Weekend, but were not invited to the closed beta, will not receive this Feat of Strength.
lame....I think you should have needed to have obtained Betamax or above in order to get the achievement.
Someone who was randomly selected but didn't participate gets the reward?
What's next....the banner for "purchasing the game" (although I guess that's the one way to get a banner anyway).
I just want the world to know, that i have a sandy, sandy, sandy, sandy vagina. And that i am outraged that i wont get this perfectly meaningless footnote attached to my account. So that i may sit in public chat channels, hoping my profile will be inspected, and have others stare jealously at an achievement called "One of the Chosen" and recognize me for the very special and cool person that i am. Thanks blizzard, you have ruined my life. I no longer see a point in living.
What irritates me most is that probably 90% of the beta keys went to americans.
i feel sad for the asians who dident even have a beta at all, heard korea had on for like a week or something.
but this is retarded, i dont mind first-serve-first-get type achivements, or purly skill based top pvp and beat x mode before y time. cos i know if i tried hard enought i could have gotten it.
But getting something by pure random chance. that is not even equal across the player base in the whole world is just retarded.

This is actually really terrible of them to do, I'd understand it if they had given it to anyone with betamaxed or overachiever, but anyone that had received the invite?
Its really a terrible PR move on Blizzard's side with anyone who had thought of this as a good idea is an idiot. Why? You already had granted those people with beta address and in itself that was a win, now giving an achievement to them as a FoS is just riddiculous, beyond anything.
I wanted my beta maxed or overachiever to carry over. Oh well this is awesome anyway!
They said quite a while ago that nothing, including achievements would carry over. All they are doing here is checking what BNet accounts got flagged.
I was in CB and I appreciate the feat but I can sympathize to those who won't get the exclusive sigil. Feats are largely meaningless and require digging for you to notice them but sigils are right there on your banner for every game. I guess I might try and justify that Diablo is mostly luck and I got the sigil for being One of the Chosen to be lucky
that is some serious BULL. a feat of strength is one thing, but awarding people with a sigil based upon random draw where (probably) millions of people never got in? i was opted in, i entered a ton of contests, and never got in. thats LLAAMMEE!
should be the opposite. people who did the open beta should be awarded something for participating, because there was no limit who could play. it wasnt based on some rinky dink 'if your lucky' system

(this build was before D3 launched... looking back on it now - i had no idea what i was doing)
As someone who was in the beta, I'm really surprised that they did this. A feat of strength I can understand, side it's nothing really special. It just shows you had the beta. But a sigil is something visual that everyone can see. It should be something you earn, that everyone has access to, or were able to have access to.
Getting something by random chance doesn't sit well with me. It should be everyone who wanted the beta, or some other criteria that shows you as a dedicated fan.
