Dane Cook, Carlos Mancia, Daniel Tosh, Olivia Munn, and Demetri Martin are all of the sort that just don't work for me for some reason.
I remember how I hated so bad that Olivia Munn was on the Daily Show. And people would say on forums, "You just don't like her cause she's beautiful and talented?" I'd think...seriously?? No, she's just not funny and it's one thing to not be funny but another thing to think you're actually very very funny. You can tell she thinks this because she never worked as hard as other people in the Daily Show and she'd drop out of character more easily and just kind of do improv whenever she felt like it.
Demetri sucks but I hate all stupid ass acoustic guitar singing comedians.

Back on topic, my all time favorite is Louis C.K. His timing and delivery are just perfect.
I like Chris Rock too though he's really loud. Steve Martin is also terrific.
People who've managed to get a good laugh out of me during their routine: Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Bill Hicks and George Carlin. I don't find them to be as entertaining as the 3 above however. Hicks and Carlin were kind of preachy and Murphy was at times downright obnoxious. Still, they had their brilliant moments.
I completely forgot about Henry Rollins. Sorry, Don.
Yeah, Henry's pretty good too. I like comedians who get into it, but that's also why I don't like Dane Cook. Henry Rollins seems like he actually cares and Dane looks like he's just spewing the same crap and relying on his movements to make the audience laugh. Plus, he's always shouting. People like Henry don't need to shout because it's much better, in my opinion, to be able to talk during a set.
Plus, Dane Cook just doesn't know what funny is.
This is why Louis C.K. is so good. He can deliver well and his humor doesn't rely on as many common stereotypes. The self-depreciation is something I don't care about, but you can tell he doesn't really mean it, so I laugh anyway.

Ok, I got Diablo with my first computer. Shortly there after I found the need to get a list of what the shrines did.
Since then I've been lurking. 15 years, dozens of games, hundreds of sites through the years, never so much as made an account to post. I'm not really the social type.
But this! This can not stand! Two pages and no Billy Connolly!?
I realise a lot of you are American and it took him like 20 years to gain favor with you folks but really, he should be up there with Carlin and the greats.
So brush up on your Scottish accent and give Billy a listen. I can not conceive of a person that likes stand-up that wouldn't appreciate his ramblings.

Bah, there's no reasoning with these people. I just hope for their sake that Blue collar comedy tour isn't indicative of American taste.
A lot of the south half of America surely loves Blue Collar Comedy. I'm sure wherever you are from is way too sophisticated for that.

I certainly don't find myself above enjoying redneck comedy (it's the same thing as blue collar, come on). I just like being able to find jokes funny that aren't necessarily derived from my own culture. Like, Turkish comedy can be pretty brilliant sometimes, for example. I've even seen Chinese standup which was hilarious.
Demetri sucks but I hate all stupid ass acoustic guitar singing comedians.

I share this guy's opinion.

To bad he died so young...

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
However, I think that, my current favorite comedian has to be Dov Davidoff
