haha, i bought a pre-built cpu a while back its a HP, it ahs 2 gig ram, Dual Core AMD 64 Processor, 300 gig hard drive, eGeForce 8600 GT graphics Card ( i bought that seperate, it can run direct X 10 ), and i got i think its 22 inches Samsung monitor the highest resolution it can go is 1680 by 1050. Its good for gaming i dont lag, i just bought F.E.A.R. and i play on highest settings, dude that game scares the hell outa me haha, its because stuff pops out alot and catches u off guard.
I also would like to upgrade my computer before the Starcraft 2 release, however I'm very confuse about the right decisions, like for example a few months ago i bought a new videocard(GForce 6800A) just to see that i needed a PCI one for my new motherboard.
I don't want buy things and find out that i made a bad decision and waste my money which is not much, hehe.

pci is the slot. its kinda like usb, there are different ways of plugging things in, and pci is just a slot type that sometimes you get with different motherboards. i cant remember the other type, but if you are looking for a video card, just find one that has pci somewhere on it.
blah, if i had money i would be too damned lazy to get 20 parts, wait 10 weeks for them to ship, and put them together, with the risk they wont work together, any one of them will be DOA, etc. ibuypower.com
yep. newer graphics cards wont run in the pci slots, even if they could. pci-e is about 3/4 inch more distance from the back of the case than pci's
my question, is should i upgrade my 17 inch crt display to a newer lcd before a graphics card? im thinking i should, since in 2 years graphics cards will be more advanced...
unzip, strip, touch, finger, grep, mount, fsck, more, yes, fsck, fsck, fsck, umount, sleep

they are becoming pretty univeral, though id always make sure ur mobo has atleast a standard AGP (older tech) slot as well
many come with 2 agps and 2 pci-e's
As for pci-e how does it differ then just pci, is it faster or what?? a lil confused on that.
