Most people call their guardian angels a conscience? Does that mean that they're still acknowledging it's their guardian angels?
I meant "the softest and most faint voice that is the voice of truth" I guess I need to be more precise with my phrasing of sentences, sorry.

"The most tragic thing about religion is that evangelical people who have such a degree of blind faith, who do and believe terrible things because they are sold as the will of God. Unfortunately this is almost half of America and leads to such things as electing George Bush, twice..."
my point is that you shouldnt let your scientific views get to your head so that you act like on your short time on the earth already you have figured out the key to life. Maybe you have, maybe all religion is wrong, but considering our entire species for the most part COULD be right maybe it would be wise to try and understand their point of view.
Well that's all good, but it still leaves us with the problem of what to believe, and how we decide what to believe in.

Now phrozenDragon i have a question for you. Why are humans the only creatures we know of in existence that has the ability to, and lead our life with Free will. No other animal or anything uses free will. They use instinct. PURELY instinct. Its amazing to think that some birds can literally fly across the entire world to land on the same tree they were hatched long before, all with instinct. In evolution when did we make a transition from instinct to free will? As a matter of fact, what in our genes and dna can account for the concept of free will. This amazing ability to CHOOSE exactly what we want to believe. Why dont animals have this ability? at least one species?
Quote from "Umpa65" »
thts common sense, not free will. tht falls under instinct. where does that dog get its food? from the human, instinctively the dog does what is necessary to survive and that dog knows that to survive it is in its best interest to go back home where the food is. its still under instincts
I think you need to separate instict from free will a whole lot more.
Instict is something a creature knows from birth or learns automatically as it evolves, such as a human liking sweet food.
However, if you can teach an animal something, it has the ability to accept new information and choose whether or not to use it. A dog can be trained to sit, and when it does, it gets rewarded. This is not instict, this is a learned behavoir. A human can be taught to do something (work) and get a reward (salary) just as an animal.
I'd say that a fly doesn't have a free will, they cannot learn and adapt. They are born, they eat, they breed new flies, and they die. That's it.
A dog, cat, dolphin, elehpant, whatever, has free will. They can learn and imrpove themselves. Exaply is a window. A fly will smash into a window again and again and again and again, because it can't do anything about it. It is driven by isntincts, and instincts tells it to get outside. A cat however doesn't. It learns that it cannot get through the window, and so makes the choice not to bang it's head against it.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Humans like sweet food because of our like of fruits. It is an instinct that carried over from our evolutionary past. Yes, humans have a lot more instinct that you probably know. This is an interesting article about our fear of snakes, for an example.
Many things that people think are instincts in animals are actually LEARNED behavoir. Animals don't come preprogrammed with knowledge over everything, much of it they have to figure out themselves. Animals are not just mindless automatons operating on instinct alone. Just like us, each one is unique, they have there own personalities, abilities and some of them at least have a sense of self like WE do. Chimps, orangutans, gorrillas, dolphins, whales, and elephants all have a sense of self; they look at themselves in a mirror and know for a fact that are seeing themselves (look up the mirror test).
Humans are just animals! We seem to have a superiority complex when it comes to that. Chimps are at least 94% identical genetically speaking to us humans. Chimps have culture, use tools, laugh and have displayed altruism! Look up the bonobo chimp Kanzi. He's amazing.
Some insects are pretty smart. The social ones like bees, ants and wasps are probably the best examples. Wasps have displayed mad math skillz and bees have language! For real, its crazy
... And I also believe in angels!

Thats a good test but theres some flaws in it
For example, A Dog doesn't pass the mirror test but is self aware via its own smell instead of visually self aware of its own appearance
Something like that anyway
lol, I have wanted to answer the question as if its an obvious answer for SO LONG.
Thats why its so funny and/or pointless, because its not an obvious answer at all.
I was thinking about backing myself up with some sort of "Angiris Council exists" theory, but then I decided against it, because it would detract from my original meaning.
I'm not religious if you didn't notice, ha, but can someone answer this next question for me?
Why do people still blindly follow religion after it was exposed as a business back in the day when they started selling people their sacraments? Don't say it's because they would kill you, because thats not true..... anymore (I think)
Sorry if this is unreadable, I'm in the middle of writing a term paper. Also I will get a real source soon =)

this is true, but sugar is also a drug that has the highest number of abusers worldwide because it is readily available. it is physically and psycologicaly addictive. If you tried to out sugar from your diet completely you would experience withdraw symptoms and cravings. It is psycologically addictive because it is used as a reward from early childhood and on.
“…white refined sugar-is not a food. It is a pure chemical extracted from plant sources, purer in fact than cocaine, which it resembles in many ways. Its true name is sucrose and its chemical formula is C12H22O11.
It has 12 carbon atoms, 22 hydrogen atoms, 11 oxygen atoms, and absolutely nothing else to offer.”
The chemical formula for cocaine is C17H21NO4.

well we modify sugar to make it white.. naturally occurring sugar is brown... we refine it it gets a little lighter then to make it pure white we bleach it with something...technically its a poison lol...In 1957 Dr William Coda Martin tried to answer the question: When is a food a food and when is it a poison? His working definition of “poison” was: “Medically: Any substance applied to the body, ingested or developed within the body, which causes or may cause disease. Dr Martin classified refined sugar as a POISON because it has been depleted of its life forces, vitamins and minerals. lol u say its purer than cocaine... its two totally different things.... on is using C H O and the other C H NO lolz...
