thats nice. Wish they'd actually fix the join game quest bug. I choose reign of the black king(the highest lvl one) and it still puts me in fallen star and deckard cain quests. THey said in the notes a few patches ago they fixed it. Looks like it faile.d
One bug fix despite all the rubberbanding reports? A whole patch for one bug fix? They haven't designed their game so they can hotfix something small like this? I wonder how often D3 is going to be down once it goes live if they can't hotfix small things.

There's probably something more to it, but yeah I can understand where you're coming from.

Every game has unknown issues at launch, look at ScII, that game had to have pissed of millions on release, it was on and off again for 2-3 days and people couldn't even play the single player heh.

keep in mind, they JUST moved diablo III to the live servers, so this is the first time we had this many people using the realid/battletags with live realms, so a Client side patch was needed to fix this.

I had the opposite issue, I logged in on my Lvl 1 Wizard, and got into a game that was on the first part of the Black King quest. I would have dropped out pretty quick, but the people in there were complaining about me, so I gravy trained my way to level 5.
Importing everyones friends / contacts list isnt a week minor change you can do a live hotfix on.
You shouldn't have to import the list. The client should just run a query against a bnet database. If each game stores your battle.net friends in their own database, that's some serious fail.
The patch 18 Patch notes were just posted on the official forums.

Isn't that because you already read it when it dropped somewhere outside (don't remember exact location, but I think the book name was identical)?
Oh I see, that would make sense

THATS GOOD!
