In almost every blizzard game with a paladin in it is always vastly superior than every other class available. Examples: warcraft 3, wow, diablo 2. Cant use Starcraft because its not set in there time.
Diablo 2: being able to run through all of hell with just an enigma, hoz and hoto and still kill everything without dying. Get the same results with not wearing any runewords, only takes a little longer.
WOW: Now can kill anyone and everything with little effort. Was able to kill a lot of people in ogrimmar without even losing little health before i got dropped (npc's and players alike all ranged from 60-70, didnt attack anything lower than that).
Warcraft 3: When i reach twenty with a paladin, i can kill every other hero without losing him due to that invinciblity aura. Even without i can still take every other hero and still not lose.
It could be due to them having a paladin fetish or something but i see some deep seeded love for paladins. Any of you else noticed this?

War3 paladin can get to level 20? Last I looked it was level 10, unless you are playing Player made maps. As for your WoW escapades you should try fighting players(npcs don't count as survival) of equal level and gear and see how long you last. Not to say that you are not good. But I would not call WoW paladins vastly superior...shadow priest with mana burn = dead pally.
I would not mind seeing a paladin in D3, but I also would rather see a completely new class with abilities never seen before. Leave the pally for the expansion imo.
i dont recall pallys being vastly superior in hell although they were the strongest going into hell and yes i can recount multiple times where i died trying to run some buddies through and most occured in act 4.
one thing you're forgetting is that we dont know anything about diablo 3 only that there will still be resistances and i think immunities (if i can recall it, read it from an interview.) they said they would go about that in a different manner though. im highly sure they already have the other 2 classes on their way so who knows, there could be a paladin type class but i doubt it would be like anything in their previous games.
In WC3 the paladin kinda sucked, definitely not the best hero. The best 1v1 would be the mountain king, followed by the blademaster. I never like WoW so I won't comment there. In Diablo they we average, with items like enigma and grief, a couple builds (smiter/hammerdin) became a little better than average. There won't be a 'Paladin' in Diablo 3, but there will probably be something similar.
Even if what you are saying is true, because a name is attached to an archtype that was better than average does not mean that same name shouldn't be used for another character in future games. Doesn't make to much sense.

We're playing a game called Diablo II. Maybe you should go out and try it, and then come back and try again to say that.
Paladins were, without a single doubt, the most overpowered class in Diablo II. They weren't even necessary- we had no Paladin in Diablo I.

Yeah, that would make sense. I don't mind if they return, as long as they aren't the only character class that can defeat the most powerful enemies (Diablo II- Uber Tristram), and as long as they don't have a spell that only one monster is immune to in the entire game. Basically, as long as they're equal with the other characters, I don't care.
if you think paladins are the most stacked character you have never made a build aside from the cookie cut POS builds you can find on any forum. try a hybrid build or try being original. its not hard to take down any kind of paladin. this thread is an insult to the people who explore all kinds of builds.

.
Heh...thank you. I was about to post and say the same thing. The Paladin was so vastly far and beyond every other class in the end-game that it was laughable.
Paladin was the first class I picked when I started Diablo II, he was based on the Warrior (warrior as the booklet of Diablo says are paladins or even mercenaries, if you could heal, resurrect, and cast holy bolt you could consider yourself a paladin) as the Barbarian was, too.
The order of the Diablo II Paladin is from West March (they split from The Church of Zakarum), after 20 years I really don't know what happened to they. But I won't expect they in the first release.
Paladins were just fine before 1.10 fucked diablo 2 with synergies. Blessed hammer was the peice of shit filler skill it was destined to be, and pallys were either upstanding zealers or FoH/smiter jerk offs. Blame 1.10, not the pally class.
Pally was my first class when I got D2. Even though I've been a barb since, he's got a special place in my heart.

It's already been stated there won't be anymore old classes. I see your point though, I was not a huge fan of the paladin myself. I never played him much, but he always seemed OP'd especially with Nigma.
(A bot with a nigma'd hammerdin could easily beat Baal.)
While I'm not a huge fan of the Paladin, I played with him several times, and I want to know what is this nigma that you guys are talking about?
Don't laugh if it's something obvious, I just can't figure what it could be!
I did laugh, I just had the courtesy not to do it here...

First of all, learn to spell, and to type proper english.
That out of the way, I disagree with you greatly. Though Paladins are great in hammerdin build in PvM, PvP wasn't as handy, and to be honest ANY character can own at PvM. They were merely exploited into a cookie cutter build.
As far as WoW is concerned, Paladins have always either been a tanking or healing class. We were worthless as a Dps class. Go ahead, try rolling a Retribution Pally before patch 2.3. You would have been laughed at. Since the patch we were OP'ed, and gradually brought down. We're not OP'ed anymore.
I never got extremely deep into WC3, however my paladin did get to lvl 6-8, and he did die. *shrugs*
For someone who finds Paladins extremely distasteful, I find it funny that you went through all the painstaking hours of leveling one on WoW. Paladins are a fan favorite, that is why they keep popping up. What, your gonna say sorcerers/mages are also "fetishes"? Grow up.
And just a suggestion:
Next time a pally is mopping the floor with you, whether it be on D2 or WoW, cry more.

We are going to be seeing 'immunity to [insert name of paladin like class]' instead of general attack types.
