I was considering it, but then I remembered when D3 launched all the issues they had. I just so happened to be off of work for Mardi Gras (I live near New Orleans) yesterday and was unable to play all day due to the maintenance. That kinda reinforced what I was afraid of. So I probably will not take off. I'd hate to burn a day of vacation to sit and look at an error screen all day. Are any of you go to take the risk?
RoS will not have near the same problems with connectivity as Vanilla had, you can expect some bugs and minor lag and perhaps some high MS, but nothing major.
Was a long weekend the days Vanilla launched and i called in sick the 2 other days :S.
But as it is now im unemployed and i have all the time in the world to play RoS

I took in the same fear of the vanilla launch, so I just request off the 26th-28th. That way I can not miss work on launch and still play the amount of time I want that night. Even though I doubt i'll be able to focus my days at work on the 24th and 25th.:P
Basically they are running on the RoS infrastructure already, all they need to do is "enable" the features. 2.01 has been running rock solid for me, also fixed the previous latency problems that I had before (in vanilla I was at 200+ms while I was pinging the google servers for 10ms). Now I am getting 50-60ms.
Back on topic, I am going to try to take the 25th off, because I know I will be up at midnight to play lol.
I would, but I can't because I have important work to do on the 25th! But the 26th I have all day free and on the 27th I finish early! In the weekend I will then stand up my social life and play RoS until there is no more oxygen in my room, then I will open the window and carry on playing!
I absolutely love Diablo 3 and I can't wait to play Reaper of Souls, but seriously... taking one of my precious few vacation days for that? Nah, that goes to far. Vacation is for vacation, I'm not switching "sitting in front of the computer at work" with "sitting in front of the computer at home" for that.
What's the deal - people could be level 70 and farming high Torment levels when I start playing; but I can't keep up with those anyways, so if this means I have to play with other, "slower" people... shit happens. Not gonna jeopardize my job for a game.
Yeah I remember D3 vanilla launch and not being able to play all day. I was thinking I might take the 28th off, hoping everything is all figured out by then and stable
I'm debating if I should take that day off as well but I only work 3-4 hours though in the evening.

Taking vacation days can jeopardize your job? /: I'm doing it b/c to have 3 days off and just relax, talking to my buds and slaying the monsters in hell together; possibly killing death himself is a vacation to me. It's cheaper than going to the beach or traveling and more relaxing. I think it's more of a personal take on what a vacation is to you. (:
I did for D3V but probably won't for RoS, as RoS doesn't have much "new" content. Which I don't mean as a knock - I'm not trying to start a debate on whether it's worth the price or anything. But realistically, Act V won't take more than an hour or so to complete and then the other main attractions primarily add "replay" value - the Crusader is a new character in an old environment, the Mystic won't be particularly useful until you've farmed up some nice level 70 legendaries, Adventure Mode just sends you to random locations you've already been 1000 times before, and the rifts are likewise aimed at farming.
So don't get me wrong - I'm super excited, but I'm in no rush.
Nope, not taking the day off. Maintenance will probably take all day (or at least a good chunk of it). I'll probably wait a couple weeks until after release so they can roll-out the hotfixes that pop-up.

6 days of just me and RoS, sounds like a blast! Can't wait!
