I am wondering if anyone else has been farming for this ring and how long/ how many runs this has taken you? I have done like 20 runs today in maxout MF gear (375% with NV stacks) and have gotten only one legendary sofar, no ring.
How its possible to farm for a specific item? I think everyone wants that ring at the moment..
It's possible by finding out the difficulty, area, and enemy type (enemy level) that has the highest chance of dropping the item.
The signet is a special case being at so low ilvl, and people have found out where it tends to drops most often. But even if you farm the right areas for 30 hours, you do not have a guaranteed drop. This is not to say that it cannot drop from other areas/enemies. Do a quick google or look through the countless threads on it. People are farming for it right now.
My close friend and I farmed for it quite a bit, he put in 20 hours or so and got over 10 legendaries before getting the signet, including 2 manald heals. We couldn't believe it when we identified a legendary ring from Oasis for it only to be the manald. (he was sitting right next to me). His signet sold for 70m and helped him out quite a bit. To the OP, I'm sure it takes more than 20 runs on average. Find a good route and just keep it up.

You mean his signet sold for over 70m?
Yes sorry, I edited the text. His signet sold for 70m, and not over 70m. Depending on the expirience bonus % they range from 50m to 150m for a 30% roll.
I haven't decided what i will do when the ring drops for me. Either ill keep it to level faster in paragorn levels, or i will sell it and get some decent gear for my barb.
On my 1st run a 2handed legendary mace dropped. Since the no legendary drops Think i have sepnd about 5 hours farming now
A couple of friends and I ran a few tests over a period of approximately 10 hours.
Even though I found two legendaries (Broken Crown and Boneshatter), we realized we were better off farming Act 3 Inferno for our loot and selling in AH just to buy a Leoric's Signet instead of wasting precious hours in Normal Mode relying completely on luck—worse luck than just hunting for godly gear in Act 3 Inferno.
So that's what I did. I ended up farming Act 3 Inferno for a couple of days or so (close to the equivalent of 10 hours gameplay), leveling up a few times in the process and eventually accumulated enough gold to buy a moderately priced Leoric's Signet (60 mil).
I would rather go this route than be denied EXP, any potentially useful end-game loot, etc. running Act 2 Normal the entire time.
Also: even if you do find a Leoric's Signet, what are the chances it'll roll close to 30% and with the desired primary stat? I just don't like the odds.

Good point.
At the moment i am still only able to farm act1 and a bit of act2. Sand wasps still completly ruin me
Sofar i have made 600k from just selling low lvl items. Even if the stats arent perfect it will make more money then running act 1 all the time, just a nice change tbh.

This. In the average amount of time I'm seeing reported (between 10 and 20 hours of farming) to find a Leoric's, I've made probably double what they're going for on Act 3 drops, in addition to numerous paragon levels. Personally, I'm not interested in using one, but if someone was to want one, it seems to be more lucrative and time efficient to just farm 50-75m in drops from regular Inferno runs and buy one.
This is all purely anecdotal of course, and one could find the signet on their first run - but if you're not a gambling person and/or tend to run with the best odds, I'd say farming + buying is the better route to go.
Ugh, Blizzard should just make Leoric's Signet have a greater chance to drop in the following locations ONLY:
1. The Royal Crypts - miniscule percentage like 0.05% or something.
2. Off of Leoric himself - greater chance with NV, MF, etc. etc.
3. Leoric's Manor - only at the end of the "Trailing the Coven" quest, tiny percentage like 0.08% or something.
Then nerf the primary stat bonus to like... 8-12, remove the crit chance bonus, reduce the level to the minimum of 7 or something. People just want the EXP bonus, who cares about the primary stat? Bottom line, by making it spawn somewhere that "makes sense," that way people know where to hunt for special loot (D2 anyone?) and have a purpose in backtracking.
I am farming in the sewers and path of aosis for this ring. According to google this is where the highest drop chance is.
Would be more logic if it where to drop in act though
